Spent a few hours power leve'ing my GSM to 50 a few days ago. Have my blue weapon, GSM headpiece, chestpiece, gloves pants and boots; ilvl 55 offhand...
What do I do now lol. I've literally no idea. Spent about 1,200,000 mill leveling this class, so I'm hoping I can start making that up sooner than later.
Now get most the others to 50 for those much needed cross class skills :P
Bleh I don't think I can muster the willpower for that lol. I hated the gil sink of GSM already, and it took roughly 40 Leve's to go power from 30-50. I'll need a larger quantity of money before I start again, in which I plan on leveling ALC and CUL

See above comment lol. I didn't level it because I enjoyed it, but because I hated running low on money, being unable to meld my own accessories and, again being low on money.
Take your time. Level all the remaining crafting classes to 15 for their cross class skills. You do not need Leves for this, only a pittance of gil per class and to make everything in the crafting log from 1 to 15 (a couple classes might require repeats).
Then level them all to 20, then to 30, then to 40, and then to 50.
You will also want to level at least Botany and Mining, if not all three gathering classes, in order to dramatically reduce the amount of money spent on raw materials. The primary advantage to leveling all of the crafting classes together is that you get to make your own gear, and to minimize the total amount of gear necessary. You won't be replacing any given piece until the last class has leveled past it, but this means that at most you will have two pieces of gear per slot, rather than six or seven. Keeping your gear up to date, and HQ, will allow you to craft any 70 or 80 durability recipe as you level and make it HQ, even starting from NQ materials. 40 Durability recipes are a bit harder however.
One more thing - if you craft your Leve hand-ins yourself, you not only get the experience from the leve, but also from crafting it. Since you want to hand HQ stuff in, you'll naturally be seeking to add as much Quality to the recipe as possible. That happens to be the way to maximize the experience gain per recipe, as well. The more Quality you add while making the recipe (which does NOT include the boost from HQ materials, that boost can actually cut into your experience) the larger the bonus experience at the end.
You may have done yourself a big disservice by power-leveling; leveling a craft from 1-50 the slow and steady way is an AWESOME way to make money. Whenever I found myself low on funds? I'd level a new craft, crafting and selling at least one of everything in my crafting log, and wind up with two million or more gil by the time I was done! I was sad when I ran out of crafting classes to level. I had to find NEW ways to use my crafts to make money. Also, leveling quickly, you may not have cultivated the skills to properly HQ the stuff you craft - particularly since you bypassed picking up the cross-class skills from other classes.
What's done is done, though; you've spent your money and power'd your levels. With your current gear and skills, you can easily craft NQ versions of anything level 50 and below. Unfortunately, that doesn't make much money; usually an NQ is barely worth more than the ingredients used to craft it, often less. You will need to train yourself to be able to craft HQ items consistently. Doing that with ONLY Goldsmithing skills, and no other class's cross-class skills will be tough, but it may be possible. If you can do it, then awesome, but it's probably better to just take the time and level all other crafts to 15 for their cross-class skills. Things like ALC's Tricks-of-the-Trade and CUL's Hasty Touch are VERY useful for crafting HQ items.
If you get the cross-class skills, then you should be able to manage one-star crafts. Players love ilvl 55 gear for spiritbonding, so there's some good money there. Be sure that you diversify, though; don't just pick an item and grind out a hundred of them to dump onto the marketboards. If you do that, the price of that item will drop like a rock. Spread your products all over the market, no more than one or two of the same kind of item at a time, wait for them to sell, then put some more up. While ilvl 55 might be the best you can aim for with your casual approach to crafting, don't neglect lower level stuff, as well. HQ jewelry for leveling sells quite well.
All i can think of with GSM only skills and with af gear/ i55 main hand is
- great strides-> steady hand -> innovation-> standard touch ( advanced touch if good or excellent ) -> great strides -> standard touch / advance touch then -> basis synth skill and hope for the best lol.
Basic > standard > advanced
Depending on how much CP u have.
Probs if all HQ gear ( no melds ) then u can afford both standard or 1 advanced. If NQ ( no melds) probably 1 basic/ standard touch.
And of course you have some HQ matts to start with ( doesn't have to be 100% hq base mats )
Imo i would have power leveled wvr 1st then gsm so i could spam CS2 for reliable progress after doing some quality progress.
GSM by itself can make loads of Gil, at least on my server. If you have miner leveled, you can mine Electrum Ore and gather your own wind shards and produce Electrum Ingots. They sell for around 1k each for NQ and between 2 and 3k for HQ.
As people before mentioned, if you take your time and level your crafts slowly, gathering your own materials when possible, you can actually make a profit by crafting 3-5 of each item available and selling them. Both NQ and HQ will sell and if you spent 0 Gil to obtain the materials, then even selling for 200 Gil is a 200 Gil profit.
Craft low level crafter's accessories ilvl 25-45, they are sold for 10k -25k and it cost next to nothing to make them

but in all honesty better to get everything to 50. If u didnt plan for that then maybe you could have leveled a gathering class instead. steady income based on demand for nothing but a teleport fee.
