it's not balanced at all. You should get at least 10 times what you get now for clear demimateria to think there's a trace of balance around them. 5000gil is nothing.

please square enix remove this item from game and increase the demimateria we receive from desynthesis thank you

Yeah, no. SE decided on the drop rate for demimateria. I doubt they'd just make it so every time clear would have been obtained you'd get real demimateria instead. If anything, they'll make it either do common crafting materials or nothing.

Clear demimateria is basically a "partial fail"

Kind of like Elemental Resist Materia. It'd be nice if they removed the trash or gave these things a purpose. Having items exist as filler is kind of idiotic. Still not as insulting as the Element Resist Potions for alchemist. High-end 2* recipes right there.....

Everytime I desynth something, I always rather get actual materia. Clear materia is just something else on the 'loot table.' Maybe they'd replace clear demimateria with lesser items on the loot table. How about some nice rose gold nuggets? Or a basilisk whetstone?

I make a tidy bit of profit from clear demimateria, so I too say no thank you. Besides, if other types of demimateria were more plentiful, then the price would go down. Again, no thank you.

I suppose a possible solution to your issue would be to give clear demi materia an actual use, like make it useable for materia transmutation or a synth recipe.

I do understand. I understand that every thread you've ever made on this forums has been begging for everything to be handed to you on a silver platter. That you'd like to desynth a copper ring and be showered with lumis tools and fully melded artisan's gear. That you could just click a button and instantly generate gil. Well here's a little newsflash for you: Maybe having a chance to not get what you want is the POINT. You don't always get what you want. Your parents apparently never taught you that.

fine whatever dont increase the rate of regular demimateria dont remove clear demimateria keep everything the way it is i believe in square enix i will stop complainung about everything jesus christ

clear demi is like a refund to try again.. ill take that instead of any random mat pretty much, as its value is higher.

of course when desynthing though we are in it for the field or battle craft only.

I don't have a problem with it being there as it does have another value for people switching servers so you can usually sell them for 6k or so on mb

Depending on the mat you get back, the mat is almost always going to be a better return if your aim is to redo the synth for another desynth. It saves you the time of having to do any synths leading up to that mat and honestly what mat costs 5k off of a desynth that would drop Clear Demi IIIs?

while I'm here : why ppl are buying stacks of this on MB for even higher than 5K gils (each), is there a bug somewhere where you could sell it for more ?

Server transfer limits how much gil you can take with you. Buy these, sell on new server.

I was mainly thinking of the field 3 desynth items from vender, but yes even those have valuable (or at least once was) mats but half the mats they can produce are not as valuable as the clear demi 3. although the clear demi 3 doesn't quite cover the cost of another chance either in there case.
