Error 90001 and 2002
Ever since yesterday I've been disconnected randomly from the game, and have gotten an error 90001 for it, and then sometimes when trying to rejoin the game I've gotten error 2002.

I haven't had this problem until recently, since after the emergency update a while ago, and its a rare event if I ever disconnect in the first place. I haven't messed with my computer or my internet connection so I doubt that has anything to do with it, but if anyone else has been experiencing this lately is there some way to get around it?

Hello Rasferian,
In France, I have exactly the same problem than you ... But nobody in staff answer me. I hope in the next udpate this problem will be resolve. (Sry if my english is bad, I'm French ^^')
-
I have the same exact problem. And it all started after the emergency maintenance too. I tried everything I could think of, still with no avail.
But yeah, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Same here
I have just started getting these too, connecting from the UK. First time I have seen them
-
Getting it too here in Toronto.
-
Adding 90002 to it also. Seems Emergency Maintance didnt fixed nothing. Well played Square Enix...

Ever since yesterday? try for the past 3 days, I went to log on, had an update so I updated it and then I would get the 2002 error, so then I let it go for the day and ever since than I had the same code. I am doing the free trial to see if I want to pay andd sooo far I am losing out on the free trial days and its making me not want to pay for the game.

Curious when you say you tried everything, did you try uninstalling and re installing (only cause I have been told to try that and if it didn't work for others than I know it won't work for me)
-
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling today, and I have noticed little to no changes so far. I did however get A LOT OF ERROR MESSAGES when trying to reinstall the game, which I'm not sure were caused by my anti virus software or what, but I felt like sharing them:

I would get these messages many times, which would then close the launcher and cause me to have to log in again and again just to get it going again. I got online after all of this and attempted to do a Chrysalis (or however its spelled) run, managing to only dc like 3 times. I hope this isn't a problem based on my computer itself, but any experts saying something here might help.

Well ... In France, nobody reports the problem. WTF ?
Yesterday night, I could playing as before at 09pm to 02am. So, why this morning at 8am to now, I was disconnected twice times with 90002 error ?! It's very tiring !
-
I've been lurking around the forums, and stumbled upon something called "port forwarding". Haven't actually tried doing it but will it help our situation? Can the more technologically inclined give us more info on the topic?
Still being disconnected. The longest time before being disconnected is around 5mins now. o_O

I've noticed that after reinstalling the game since yesterday (2/8/2015), I haven't dc'd at all. I have even managed to do amdapor keep hard and the wanderer's palace hard without noticing any big lag or dc. I intend to test out if I can do 8 player stuff, and if that works move on to a crystal tower raid and see how that goes. Will update sometime tomorrow (2/10/2015)

I've been having the same problem! Glad to know I'm not alone. It's very difficult to do beast tribe quests when you keep losing connection, especially when you find your character dead upon reconnecting. Thank the Twelve for passing White Mages! XD
-
So after my tests today, I have some results:
-Ifrit hard mode worked with little to no lag, though a ninja in our group wasn't so lucky.
-Praetorium gave me quite a bit of lag, especially when large groups of enemies were around, but no dc.
-Syrcus tower may have lagged a tiny bit, but nothing that caused undue harm, and again no dc.
I also took some screens of my send and receive values when doing these, but I don't know the ideal values so... yeah.

My best advice for anyone still having dc issues is to try reinstalling the game, but if that sounds like it'll be too much trouble you can try to contact the support desk if you haven't already, and feel free to link to this topic if you want.
-
Thank you! I will try reinstalling, and report back with my own results... Hopefully, they'll be the same as above, but it won't be easy to tell if my internet wants to keep kicking me out of everything alongside the game itself.
Edit: After all the pain and errors it took to reinstall the game, I am still plagued by disconnections and lobby errors.

There is one other approach I would try before reinstalling, I have had an issue before where my antivirus firewall needs to have the file path for the game boot file to be whitelisted as allowed for the game itself.
If you look at your list of allowed programs in your firewall and it isn't listed this can interfere with the game running, I have had this clear up after manually adding it as a whitelisted program.
Your browser software may also interfere with this, if you get any popups from say firefox or IE asking for an allowance pertaining anything Square Enix related, make sure you pick the "always allow" option for this website.
