[request] increase Alexandrite fate drop rate

apparently is 10% right now . Should give an increase to 25%

What is there to dislike? I farmed fates for 6 Hours yesterday and got 2 drops....

It used to be ~1% iirc. The ~10% is fine.

Relics are ment to take time and they have already increased the droprate. My guess is that you are just very unlucky. Those days I farmed I have gotten 20+ each day from just fates.

20 per day! That's amazingly lucky . As the expansion approaches I see no harm in adding some extra % drop rate tbh.

Relic should not be made trivial to make. I'm making a second one now after all the buffs it has been given and I find it amazing that people really think it needs to be nerfed more. People who complain about wanting it to be made even easier should be forced to do it in the un-nerfed manners because it's hilarious how easy and fast it is now.

I wouldn't mind an increase in drop rate. Anyone who says otherwise already probably has Zodiac or one stage from it. Anyone still on Alex stage is three or four stages behind Zodiac. Then when 3.0 drops, they will be even further behind unless we get a completely new relic at lvl 60.

You can hunt A and S ranks turn seals into alexandrites,do expert roulette to get 1 alexandrite free daily, buy maps with 400 tomes of sol each and on top of that the alexandrites droping from fates got increased alot i really think the drop rate almost to good imo.

Ok, now I am searching for some way to give someone intergalactic intrainternet slap. Because OP definitely deserves one right now.
So, the novus, nexus, atma grind got recently nerfed...... how about ask for another nerf? Sounds like a nice idea.
Nope.

I just finished the alex grind ( I'm WAY behind on my relic ) and it actually wasn't that bad. Some days I would have crappy luck with fates, but then I would just go grind soldiery or join a hunt party and do a fate in-between those. The best part about getting alex is that there are several ways to do it, you don't have to limit yourself to fate grinding. It took me about a week to get through the entire alex part.

They need to just make 5 Alex drop from chests, instead of just one. That would be a good change. Not everyone can grind fates all day or want to run around trying to do hunts because of the massive zergfest and highly unlikely we will get a reward anyway as things die before we even know they are up.

That sounds like a good idea actually. I wouldn't mind that. Some of us work 46 hours a week.

Get into a good hunt linkshell. Or just get alex with soldiery, the game practically throws it at you these days.

Exactly, I try to log in everyday to do my mission and get my daily map, but some days I don't even have time for that. Hence maps should have better output.

The basic nature of something meant to take a long time to do cannot be magically catered to someone that does not have the time to invest into it. Thinking you should have special treatment for having less free time is beyond silly.

Can just be stroke of bad luck. I got two in about 2hours earlier today and my friend got 2 back to back yesterday. 10% doesn't magically mean every 10 FATE's, unfortunately. The droprate is fine tbh, farm soldiery/allied seals if FATE grinding isn't to your liking.

Someone that barely has time to do a daily ex roulette for an alex map cannot possibly hope to keep up with someone that plays several hours a day. If alex maps gave 5 alex apiece, there are plenty of people that would be able to finish Novus in a matter of 2-3 days. You'll have to accept that since you have less time to put into the game, long-term goals will take you longer to accomplish.

So just to clarify, you can get Alex drops from Fates with either an Animus, Novus, or Nexus weapon equipped?

You can get them with any tier from Animus through Zodiac.

they drop with a zodiac weapon equipped as well, I've gotten a bunch while doing fates with my Ragnarok on

Zodiac continues in 3.1 so you have a whole patch of 3.0 to catch up.

Sorry but you posted in a public forum; anyone that can read it is able to reply if they wish.

Who cares how old they are or what they do for a living? What does it have to do with alex drop rates?

Considering that you can get a i110 weapon from scratch in a couple of days now ( less if you really want it asap), yes please, increase alex drop rate. I already have shiva weapons for jobs I don't even have yet. Why would I want to waste so much time and money for an outdated weapon?

As the other person has already told you, my age and occupation has nothing to do with what I said. If it helps soothe your weary soul though I'm 30 and my occupation allows me to spend way too much time on this game but that's still irrelevant as the point remains. If you don't have time to invest in something that takes time, you should not expect to have the same fast results as someone that does have that spare time. It's basic logic and demanding it differently is asking to get catered to for no reason other than being extremely selfish and ignorant.

that the main trouble of the relic, now with the other content, do you really want to get a relic? the point is the relic work as a goal for a lot of us, because let's be honest.... if you don't like the hunt (like me, what they have done with it is a true mess that needed to be cleaned) or don't have a static for do BC....what goal do you have into the game? the game lack goal for everytype of player, Yoshida have said recently that they was sorry to have forget the midcore player (that are the most of the playerbase actually) you do have goal for casual and hardcore, but for the other...well forget it.

the relic is a perfect example of Hardcore content, because is not casual, easy don't make a stuff casual... it's the time needed for get it done that make it casual. the relic is one of the most tedious hardcore activity around.

Alexandrite needed 75... if you only do the ex roulette you need 75 day..... more of 2 month just for this step, behind you have the nexus one and the zodiac one.

ps: i don't say that the alexandrite drop must reach something like 25% but the droprate of 10% is far too low for the time needed for the whole relic.

I\\\\\\'m working on my second relic I only started on Saturday last week and I\\\\\\'m finishing my last 3 books for animus. Even thou at a books are long and tedious , I find them fun. Same as lights and doing the last quest. My problem with Alex\\\\\\'s is that you NEED 75 of them which this is the worst grind of all. And to top it up you need to either be rich to have a perfect novus , the materia prices are outrageous atm (400k for IV SAVAGE AND AIM ) I do not mind doing fates as I\\\\\\'m constantly active looking g forward to something but the amount of Alex needed is ridiculous. I cannot to reduce the amount of Alex you need but allowing NEW people to reach and catch up others on their relic will be a fair point for newcomers

realistically you can get up to 6 Alex a day guaranteed by farming 2k solds and 1 exdr. But it would be nice not only for me but for other people doing their 1st relic to tone down the Alex grind. No the whole zodiac just the Alex one.

Doing hunts , doing A marks will give you around 600 seals IF you join the full train. And that only happens every 3 hours. Sounds like a lots of Alex but realistically it just doesn\\'t happen know people pulling early and missing marks.

Like I say nerfing a bit the Alex drop FROM FATES ( it gives us another option to get them a bit easier. No just the brain mumbling sold farm. ) I don\\'t know how I managed to do brayflox day in and day out back in the day.

Atma drop rates were raised significantly. It used to take hours on end to farm a single atma unless you were truly lucky, but I ran a full set of twelve yesterday in a few hours. Animus books were 1500 myth apiece back when myth was a thing; their cost has effectively been cut by 2/3. Alex maps were 800 myth back then too, so their cost has effectively been halved. Alex drop rates from fates has been increased significantly, to the point where you actually CAN go farm them from FATEs. To top it all off, Nexus lights have been doubled from what they were on release.

I guess I'm just not seeing to how they aren't allowing newcomers to catch up here.

Guessing you queue as a tank? Dps queue times are easily the total time needed you suggested here.

On topic, I have no doubt that they will continue to alter the 2.0 relic quest line as we get closer to the expansion. I would expect some pretty big changes. This is especially if they make the finished 2.0 relic required for starting the 3.0 relic quest line.

On my second relic after the nerf I got all 12 atmas within 2 hours. That's why I thought it was viable to do Alex grind from fates. But it seems the drop rate it's not equal. which it should be , knowing that you NEED 75.

The rest of the nerfs are just balanced. the Alex Fat Grind is not for now. That's why the request on increasing the % drop
