Magic Velcro

Magic glue, magic sellotape, magic blutac, magic velcro, magic....magic....magic string, magic invisible lalafell that sits on your back holding the weapon in place, magic leather staps that are also invisible............

I think this may turn out to be a case of nothing to do with lore, but just a game play implementation :). But magic explains everything when in doubt :).

I like to use the Miqo'te racial top to glamor my gear with as it has a belt that looks as if it is attached to my grimoire, no sticky glue needed. And ripping my shirt into shreds trying to clean it off later (or skin).

I think it's just like how your character's inventory (a bag) is not also shown on your back - it's for simplicity's sake and to also to cutdown on the workload of the artists (and the amount of processing required server and client-side as well).

I know my Curtana would be sheathed and strapped on a sword belt on the side of my Wootz Cuirass while another strap holds my Holy Shield out of the way (probably over my hypothetical backpack), but it's just easier to animate it that the weapons magically hang on your character's hip or back without any visible means of support.

Really, this is just one of those times where it's probably best not to think about it too much. ;)

I believe this is mostly a tongue in cheek thread. :D, or an add for glue.

Well I think it depends on the Weapon:

Rubber Cement, JB Weld, Liquid Nail, Wood Glue, Duct Tape, Magnets in the Armour, or my personal favorite, all our races are born with a skin sleeve in our backs for our weapons!

That sounds absolutely terrifying.

Behind our dress there's allagan magnet applied (blue-icon equip) and some of them applied by crafter with those shards/crystal/cluster.

I usually run around with my weapon display toggeled off so it looks like I pulled it from thin air by reaching behind me. Thus instant "Magic Pocket" paradox. Like what Deadpool has. DEADPOOOOOOOL!!!!
