Caster/BLM Adrenaline needs some fix?

I've been playing Frontlines non-stop. I always seem to get Slaughter. Anyways, I noticed that Cometeor gets casted constantly. Not only that, sometimes the indicator is showing up late, thus, making dodges late. I just got off the match where two folks were complaining about the Radius as well.

Does Cometeor need some fixing? (a bit of nerf?) My main issue with it is, does the Adrenaline fill faster for casters? Because it gets casted over and over again.

Battle High/Fever fills it faster. BLMs tend to get Battle High/Fever early on. Once at Fever it only requires 2kills to refill the LB. Since LB tends to garner at least 2kills, one BLM is capable of spamming Cometeor.

Maybe change CC so that tri-disaster and their sleeps are single target (slaughter only)? Would make it possible to dodge for more people, as well as keeping cometeor in the same dmg wise.

Easy solution is to not run in and melee the center node. AoE fire spam on a fixed target spreading to 6-12 people can rack up the kills pretty fast.

quadruple flare for a penta kill within a minute, and I'm laughing my ass off :D

I tried blm for the first time. Iv played healer, tanks, melees, bard .... I will say without a doubt that I feel my bar go in up much faster as blm regardless of battle fever. I did three matches as blm ...had no idea how to play blm...and I owned. First match was 90k damage and 5 kills never having played blm end game before and having crappy gear.

Towards the end of the match BLM's on the winning teams appear to have more cometeors. That's expected.

If there's an issue, I think it's server lag with either getting hit after moving out of the aoe or some of the aoe's just not showing up in an active battle. They are very easy to avoid most of the match, and then all of a sudden I'm hit by 3 in a row and I might have stood in one circle.

The other option is to kill and mez these BLM's first. The amount of times I've seen a BLM mez broken instantly makes me want to scream.

The best method to actually fixing this issue, where a premade party will stomp on the other GC by having 5-6 Casters coordinate Caster LB is to simply have players that are hit by Cometeor get a buff icon that lets them become invulnerable to Cometeor for the next 2s.

The issue of Casters Spamming LB isn't the cast time nor the damage it does, it's the flexibility of having multiple casters just being able to chain meteors that there is absolutely no way to prevent yourself from dying if 2-3 are cast on you. I actually don't mind the LB Cast time nor the damage it does, sometimes it's dodgeable, sometimes it's not.

The problem just lies in the fact that Casters also get to do a massive AoE Sleep that unless you already have a reduction from the status or trinket to get out of it, you're most likely going to take the damage.
While 1 may not kill you, 2 almost certainly will and if 2 doesn't 3 does for sure in a premade party.

It's argueable and people can maybe say, well you should coordinate better with your party/alliance if you want to do that too. But sadly I am going by the assumption that majority of the players that enter FL for one isn't going to be as coordinated as those that are premade and are acting like a raid group (and on a voip to coordinate especially). There's no proof that people who coordinate Caster LBs are on voip or even friends/FC members in general, but when you see close to perfect timing of 3-5 Caster LB Chains on a consistant basis, unless theyre typin in chat or letting off SE to know when to cast LB, it's likely they have some sort of advantage by the assistance of being in a voip to call out Sleeps and LBs

"Owned" might be over doing it. I have gotten at least 3 kills in a match as a WHM :p

3 kills is the standard amount, just let melees run up to you and kick them off because they deserve to die if they haven't figured out that we are tanks by now :/

Sadly, the knockbacks over the ledge don't count as kills. :( I'd have a lot more now.

You can't penalize BLM's for coordinating their LB's. That is completely unfair. This game has very weak coding for how characters get hit with an aoe. PvP has just brought up the issue again because things are less scripted and more competitive. They need to fix the root of the issue with this horrible character position lag.

Needs to be nerfed to high hell, tbh. I understand coordination but being on the receiving end of the 6 LBs isn't really fun at all and makes me want to just stop PvPing until something is done (and I get the marks I need). Being invulnerable for a bit after the first one would work out just fine IMO.

To be honest, building up battle fever just to have a random monk shoulder tackle me then one shot me with LB isn't fun either. The problem is the lag and how fast you can build LB. A 6 lb coordination should be rewarded. However because LB build up so fast it happens too frequently. If anything making it so LB kills dont count toward the LB bars filling up would solve a few issues

The more I think about I the more I like the excitement of not knowing when those lbs will come. However I do think it removes the whole skill factor to the game. Secure required a lot more skill, wolves den requires even more. It seems SE is moving away from skilled based PvP and trying to make it more casual so anyone can have those 'moments' even if they're terrible at the game. At least that's my analysis having been a part of PvP from the beggining

Well, you should be playing a bit more defensively so that you can avoid having a melee DPS do that to you. I honestly don't see any skill in spamming sleep/bind and using Cometeor several times in a row. I don't think I ever want to play caster in Slaughter because it just seems so cheap.

Easier said than done. Specialy when you already have 6-7 paladin/warrior attacking your group so melee are less scared to charge in. If we were to say everyone played perfectly, Tanks would save their Lbs to protect the group from chain cometor. 1 tank LB just allowed a group to survive up to 4 chained cometor. Even more if you have a healer spamming medica/succor

I'm not saying cometor isn't OP. but it's not the impossibru instan win no skill 360 no scope some people make it out to be. it can be countered by 1 tank LB and aoe heals or healer/bard LB

It's not impossible to win against it, but it's certainly much more difficult to manage as a healer through multiple Cometeors in addition to the sleep/bind. One? Okay, that's fine. Two? Maybe I have to do more AoE healing. Three or more? We're all pretty much dead.

but you can take 4 cometor with tank LB up. 1 LB to counter 4 sound like a good trade

Yeah... we usually always have a tank but it's hard to time it since the cast time is pretty short T_T

Cometor cast time could be increased since you'll rarely see a blm/smn on targets that arent rooted.

As i previously said, Chain cometor IS op, but it can be countered by premade groups that communicate, increasing the cast time would simply give people more time to react

Weird that as SCH, I did aura blast on stacked foe and instead I got Battle High.

Knockoffs DO count as kills. I've gotten like 3 at once from it with Aura Blast.

As many people already posted, it does count, but you have to be wary who dealt the last dmg to it, or most damage, and if the person has DoTs on him.

Seems odd, but I guess DoTs ticking as they fall might explain it.

I wouldn't mind if they removed LB from pvp.

There is no way to survive the melee lb.
The caster lb is only op if you coordinate it well but melee lb just one shots anyone and thats unfair too

(unless there is some way to dodge it that I'm completely missing)

Melee LB is survivable if you have a healer on you. As a healer, I am usually able to survive it barely with VIT accs only and no SS/Adlo. If I put down soil/SS/adlo, it should be fine for everyone else too.
