HeavensWards is coming out in April right

Now my job says I can have any days off in the month of April, maybe May, but March and April are out of the question. Beside I wish to enjoy the other SE products; such as, Type-0, VII, and X/X-2. I hope it not too much but early May would be nice.

Maybe since 2.5 Part 2 is March which is only a Main Scenario update to bridge 2.X into 3.0 and they did say the release of 3.0 is sometime in Spring 2015.

However, this is only assuming they follow the 3 month scheduale plan since 2.50 was released in January.

I do hope it is April release as well since 2.5 Part 2 is not a Major content update but just adding in a Main Scenario meant to be part of 2.5X update.

They may announce the the release date in the upcoming live letter tomorrow (?) but so far nothing has been stated yet; hopefully it wont get delayed

owell 2.51 (2.5 part 2 ) is due out early late February 2.55 in match could be fun but March is packed, Im thinking I might buy blood born as well.still iffy on the The order since I have this PS4 and FFXIV gets 90% of my play time. which is 89% of my life

So can you have days off in April or not?

For some reason April is standing out as to when it might be released, don't think we have an official word as yet. It could be later in May.

The last part of the "before the fall" patch is late march, and it´s not just a story patch, it also adds the final relic upgrade in 2.x. so i highly doubt the addon will be april. i don´t think SE would let us grind again for the last relic upgrade just to oudate it a week later. i don´t expect Heavensward before Late May/June. Thered be much much more commercial going on if the addon would be that close already.

The reason for 2.5 to be split in 3 parts is to make the wait feel shorter. It would make no sense to release 3.0 in Aprl since it would fall more or less in the usual 3 month wait we are acustomed to.

I bet it will be late May, early June.

Remember that 2.0 was launched in "Summer" wich ended up meaning the last week of august, wich is technically summer, but a lot later than people would expect for a summer release.

I can see it being released in the last weeks for spring, so may june.

For something that's gonna be released April they haven't advertised it at all.

I'm thinking probably some time in May. Golden week is a good reason, but big releases for things tend towards May because it's right in the middle of 2nd Quarter. So that's my bet.

May or June seem more likely imo. April feels just.. too close? if it makes sense.

That would be a major reason against it. They will want staff available to take care of emergency fixes and stuff after all.

Actually, the first day of Summer is 21. June so even if they were to release it on June 20th, it would technically still be in Spring.

Also here, while you have a point, when you work as an employee for an MMO, you will notice soon that having public holidays off is not a given (just like in other professions). I know that the gaming company I work for plans releases around the time people have days off. Why? Well, people have time to play and to spend money in the cash shop.

The last day of spring is June 20th or so guys.

I am expecting May.

My money is on E3 at the end of June.

Since we have nothing at all announced for the month after 2.5 pt. 2 at this point, and it's been said to be the bridge to 3.0, I will bet dollars to donuts that 3.0 will release on either April 21st or April 28th. This has been their pattern thus far.

'Spring' means fiscal spring which means they may very wait until the end of June to release Heavensward.

SE can we please have an official date. Some of us wish to use some ETO so we can enjoy it for awhile but need to schedule 3+ months advance and I'm worried by the time you release a date I'll be denied the time off.

I hope April, but knowing SE track record, spring 2015 = last month of spring. So I bet its going to be late May early June.

Possibly 2-3 months after 2.5 part 2. They said they were basically done with 2.5 in January, just a bit of polish left to do, so they are stretching the patch out into parts so there isn't such a long content drought while they work on the expansion.

they just anncounded patch 2.51 release date. 24th feb. which will include NO story quest finale but gold saucer and final relic upgrade quest before expansion.
means there is TWO patches coming. not one. march release will be likely 2.55 aka 2.5 part 2. just like it was listed at the end of the trailer. go check if you dont believe it. its 3 updates. not 2. zodiac finale comes in about 3 weeks. get rdy for another curel rng madess quest :D

if heavensward comes out april 2.55 will likely remove all weekly locks and caps aswell. makes no sense to keep em locked till addon since then nobody is gonna run it anymore.

The only thing they've said thus far is a Spring 2015 release. They have until the last week of May to fulfill that assuming no delays.

june is very unlikely as its already a major vacation month and because of sale losses at release no company ever releases addons in june or july or before late august. wont happen. may at the lastest is a sure bet. and no final zodiac is NOT MARCH. thats false. go reread tokyo gameshow infos again. its stated that relic final is 2.51 which is feb 24th.

The final Relic update for 2.X era is not in March.

The Relic update is arriving soon in Feb 24th with the Golden Saucer so if 3.0 is released in April or May you have about 2 months or 3 months to get the new relic done.

Of course the hardcore will most likely get it done by the 1st month and 2nd month and beyond is anyone taking things slow.

I think if it were coming out in April we'd already know the date. There is a difference between announcing a patch date and announcing a full retail release. From a marketing standpoint, they can't throw up a blog post out of the blue saying "It's out next week!" Every week that goes by without the announcement of a date is pushing the eventual release further down the calendar. I'd guess May or perhaps even early June.

This makes the most sense. Patch 2.55 is supposed to be the lead up for the expansion. Doesn't make much sense for too much time to pass between.

Not necessarily. They would easily announce the date with the 2.51 patch. That's two months before the expansion, if it follows the typical content patch time table.

Oh please... The meteorological definition of summer on the northern hemisphere says that summer start on 1st of june...
Summer solstice is supposed to mark the middle of summer...
You don't start summer at middle of summer...

Then I would assume we'll have a full month to enjoy the most recent patch (all of april)

Then I would guess at 3.0 for May

several stores are telling me that it will be out December 31 of 2015. but that is obviously way past Spring. i wish an employee or someone could give us a real answer here. i would like to know just how much money i need to save and by when, that is for the CE. don't they want their customers to be prepared?

Amazon always defaults to the last date of the year when a firm release date is not known. It will change whenever the real date is announced

It's not that the store or its employees are trying to give you the run around, it is just that they do not know. Since there has been given no official announcement yet, they do not have anymore information than you do at this point.

I dont need any tomes, weapons, items or gil.
I want to play new classes/jobs, discover new big maps!

(Im no person wasting 100+hours of playing for those overrated Atma/Animus weapons or doing stupid hunts like a lemming x: )
