Eorzea's Next Top Model: Youtube Edition Round 4 - Beastmen Battle!

Hello everyone! Rongi Pongi here, once again forcing Brun Hilda to post for me!
Time to vote for the Round 4 Photos for the YT Edition!

For Round 4, we told the models to take go out and battle one of the many beastmen in Eorzea!

Koriander- wow you really pumped it up this week! Love the angles here and proving that a girl in a dress can kick some ass! I also LOVE that one beastman in the back with mask! He's amazingly placed.
Raquelle- Damn I love that thunderball effect. It reminds me of what I tried to accomplish with my Resident Evil pic ^^. You're a bit far away, but your harsh winter background/thunder effect, along with how the beastman is set up really help bring out the shot.
Midge - I really really like this shot, and am I sucker for badass lalas. It must have been hard trying to get them to work with you and getting them into position, so props for that! Also such a kawaii little ninja :3
Sam- This shot reminds me of the Winner from the first cycle of ENTM (Valenten I think? I'm bad with names sorry ^^;)! I love that pose. I think you could of worked on trying to get the beastman more into the shot, but I know tha extras can be very difficult to work with. I love that you also look this at night, as the Beastman's statue thing in the back really adds to it! Dat purple glow.

Good shots everyone, it was really hard just picking 4 this week ; ; you all did super awesome!

People really love (or hate?) the Ixali!

My votes, in the order in which they appear in the album:

Brun Hilda - I love this shot. The framing, lighting, and action are fantastic. I only wish that you were more prominent in the shot, but then again, this really highlights how massive the Amalj'aa can be.
Koriander - The picture is heavy on the left but otherwise well-divided and interesting. I love that you were able to capture your casting effect so beautifully.
Midge - Although it's an interesting pose, I initially tossed your picture out because you are staring straight into the camera. However, it's such a beautifully balanced shot with lovely color contrast that I couldn't help voting for you.
Xyhr - It's an interesting shot, but you are the weakest part of it. I like your robe, stance, and overall look, but you were fading into the background even before the casting effect came into play. Still, this is a great overall shot, so you get my vote!

My critiques, for what it's worth:
Fruity Tuitie, between the steam/fog and the battle effects, too much is lost in a blurry mess. I like the background and how you were setting up the shot though.
Raquelle, I love your pose and most of the framing on your shot. Unfortunately, you are too hidden behind the sword, and the the main casting effect is too overwhelming.
Sam, I love the emphasis on you and your choice of wardrobe. The rest of the shot is lacking though, and the beastman who is central to the theme is barely making his way into your shot.
Sylvie, this is almost a great shot reminiscent of elaborate fantasy artwork, but the lighting and effects make it just a little too busy, killing some of the much-needed contrast.

Raquelle - Seriously, the contrast of this shot.. I at first thought it was photoshopped.
Koriander - They look as if they're pacified, holding back, afraid of your spellcasting!
Xyhr - I love how the Cleric Stance visual effect almost looks like a shield, blocking his attack.
Brun - BAM! Right in the.. OUCH!

Brun Hilda: Even as a largest size Roegadyn, you sometimes meet those bigger than you, so you just have to hit what you can reach, even if it's a cheap shot :p This picture made me laugh! I like the composition with the combatants in the foreground, off to the side, and the expanse of the Amalj'aa territory shown off on the left. Nitpicking, I could see cutting the big guy off through his horns, to have a bit more space in the bottom, but in the heat of the moment during a battle shot, something like that would be hell to pull off and take luck to achieve X3 I also enjoy the glare of the sun and the dust kicked up that accentuate the dry air of the desert, and how you're matched in the style of outfits - two badasses!

Koriander: This is a nice shot with effects caught in a good moment. You're very centered with your body facing the camera, and i sort of wish you had been angled to the right a little, just to put a bit more weight on that edge, alternatively off-centered... However, the falling snow and the masked beastman makes up for some of the imbalance, and it's nicely zoomed in. One thing I can't help but notice is that your bare legs must be freezing XD

Raquelle: I'm in love with this shot. Such contrasts...! The glaring white versus the intense purple, the clear foreground versus the snow fogged background, the diagonal of things visible in the picture versus the clean white opposing corners. Usually weather like that would be iffy, but here it makes the action parts stand out in a very uncluttered scene. You're a bit small in the picture, and not what my eyes are immediately drawn to due to the intense purple magic and the clear beastman, but when i do see you the pose is just perfect, with your head nicely framed by the scimtar and two bursts of magic. I like how the light parts of your hair and dark outfit matches the colour of the spell you're casting.

Xhyr: Another nicely timed moment. I enjoy that you're so far off to the side, just at the very edge of too far without overstepping it for me. You're at risk of being upstaged by the ixal, since s/he's not covered by any effects and has a very visible face to capture attention, but the flash of light pulls my gaze to your side of the picture after a moment. What gets me in the gut is the depth created by the staff being angled through the spell effect! My nitpick is that I wish you'd had your eyes open, because I think that would have helped boost the focus being on you.
