Chocobo Build for leveling

So i have a lvl 50 black mage, and wanted to level other classes, the fact that im now able to use my chocobo to fight even at lvl 1, im wondering what would the best build to optimize my leveling, im sure it would be a combination of healing+damage

I would recommend a heali-bo first. The dmg is not too surprisingly awesome for a dps-bo, I have a rank 10 one atm, hes good but not crazy good. I find that if I'm mobbing and sorts, a healie-bo is much much better and since your a BLM, you can already put out a good amount of dmg so having a heali-bo to keep you alive while SB'ing and etc would be much better.

However this is a recommendation based off my own use of the chocobo. Others may have a different input.

Generally you want a hybrid to give the most overall coverage. If you are only planning on leveling one role at a time though I suppose you could shell out for the Reagan Pepper from your grand company whenever you change roles and respec your chocobo.

Healing Tree (28 skillpoints) 7 skills

Offense Tree (21 skillpoints) 6 skills

Defense Tree (6 skillpoints) 3 skills

I'd say focus on healing first, then branch out after. The difference between some healing and no healing is phenomenal.

Healing to 4 gets choco cure, that's a game changer.

I did basically 1 of each ( so ur choco can attack/tank at all) and focused on healing choco regen/cure are really worth it even lvl 50ish (Try to beat Chimmi from Peistemap 2 man + chocos its great fun ^^)

healing for the win lol my choco saved me so many times when i got the giant ugly malboro from alex maps

Get Choco-Cure and anything after that is up to you.

Multiclassing for multiple STR+ boosts makes a pretty nice difference and probably the best reason to spread your points around. Not to mention that Free Stance is probably better than Healing stance in most cases since the chocobo won't follow you around and get hit with conals that way.
