I realize the patch has recently come out, but Ive been seeing this alot more on weekends lately. People are disconnecting left and right and complaining of 90k's is getting increasingly frequent.
Is there nothing that can be done on SE's end to mitigate this. Perhaps new servers are in order to help alleviate the large amounts of player base on specific servers or decrease loads.
Everytime I lag or get 90k'd Ive run a speedtest and my connection has been pristine. I get exactly the speed Im paying for, so I'm certain its not on my end. Especially since so many others are experiencing the same issues.

I used to get lag spikes often but with WTFast my connection has been flawless. WTFast reroutes your connection over a private network. The service offers a month free trial. It's worth a try.

And your connectivity problems are most likely due to a bad node in the route, as mentioned by Kaze3434. A specific node located in/near Montreal owned by Level 3 Communications is particularly notorious for this. -
