Welcome to video games.
Yup! It took me 20 mins before realizing it wasn't anywhere on the bottom level. I also didn't know that place had stairs leading up to the pipes!
This was the second one I found when I did the quest, took me like 3 minutes to complete. xD
Honestly, I only found it because I saw other people climbing up those stairs. Otherwise I probably would've taken much, much MUCH longer.
I think that was the first one I got, I always go up there when they have you look for stuff xD
I feel sorry for people doing this quest weeks or month from now when that area will be more or less deserted
Makes sense from a story perspective for it to be there too. They're SUPPOSED to be hidden. Since they're, y'know, explosives meant to totally wreck the plant.
I had no problem finding it lol I panned my camera up and saw it glowing up top wasn't that bad thats the fun in it though... I was sad the others were not that well hidden
That was the first place I looked. Lol. I derp around there while waiting to enter coil on raid days.
Hilarious thing is I knew one was up there before I even started looking. It was obvious.
I didn't know about the stairs untill I came across this quest. :D
that thing was taking my afk spot. I just threw it down in the plant.
Yeah.. until that part of the story I never knew you could go up there.
Been playing since beta. ......Yup.
Good thing there's /shout though. Ask questions, receive answers.. and amusing shouts.
This is why you should explore on your own and not just go from quest to quest...
lol i said it on shout 4th box location about 15 ppl ran there lol it was funny watching every1 run around the bottom for 20mins XD
Took me like 10 mins to find that one, cause I didn't know you could get up there.
First one, only because I was walking from north to south to do the quest, saw the stairs and was like SQUIRREL and as I climbed it I thought "It would be funny if one of the--- LOL" so glad I wanted to climb up here.
I didn't know about the stairs until that quest, I see them and I was like "Maybe I can climb those!" quest took about 5-7mins for me
Back at launch the first FC I was in went around exploring all the high level areas, so we naturally just ran amok and found all sorts of neat areas you could reach. The pipe just happened to be one of them, heh. So this quest took me maybe two or three minutes. I spent more time looking for the Scions to get their dialogue, to be honest, haha!
I always go up there to look at the night sky and sit in my sorrow and think about all the failed tempest wing T13 deaths, I use my cry emote and summon my minions and Choco to comfort me. In the midst of this quest I got teary eyed a went to my place of comfort and low and behold.......
I ran around the entire camp twice clockwise before deciding to go back around again counter-clockwise, thinking "maybe a different perspective will let me see something I didn't see before". Lo and behold, less than a minute later I was saying to myself, "I didn't know you could climb this. I wonder if there's something up there."
Then I jumped off after getting the bomb so that anyone that saw me fall would get the hint that there's a way up. I just thought of it now, but I should have shouted its position and then watched to see people gather underneath first. XD
Yeah...After a lap around the plant (with boyfriend going the opposite direction around), we decided it had to be somewhere up high. I climbed on buildings, boxes, fences...Then I discovered the stairs and I was like "oh. *facepalm*" I had no idea you could get up there or I would've beelined for it. I'm so used to FFXIV cramping my exploring-every-inch style that I don't even think about those areas anymore. If it was TERA or something, I'd have gone there first.
Look at the environments.
Maybe they're trying to make us think searching high in preparation for Heavensward.
the stairs are tiny and need guardrails
walked and still almost fell off
