That 2.5 is just way too fun. This is one of the best patches since 2.0 so good work guys. It's apparent that lots of thoughts has been put into the development of this patch.

Yup, I am joining you in the positive feedback.
Loved Mainstory, Hildy, WoD and also the new dungeons, pretty funny mechanics + the music. I think that devs are getting better and better. :))
Can't wait for gold saucer, if this game had a body I'd give it a bro hug lol.
Its hard getting up to go to work , going to the gym , and not focusing on all the A ranks Im missing, and the potential fun in WoD. Truly love this game and this patch was pretty amazing I'm scared of the golden saucer......so much content waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh what to do gear up, have fun, raid, raid, hunt , craft , role play , WHATTTT?
Agreed 2.5 has been one of the best updates so far.
im a bit dissapointed myself. everything is way too easy and feels like throwaway content, stuff i will run once and then wont bother again.
i wish devs would release much harder versions of the fights in the same patch as the assets are very nice indeed.
You could say that about every single bit of content hard or easy. If all you care about is the story, then even Coil can fall under "throwaway content" that you'll run once because once you've done it, that's it. Of course, you'll most likely do repeats of the turns until you beat T13.
But for me, I'll be doing WoD quite often for some gear. I'll be doing the 3 Crystal Tower raids at least once every week because it helps me get more Carboncoats. I'll be doing the 3 new dungeons because they fall under the Expert Roulette and I like to do that at least every other day. The two trials will probably get some seeing when I'm doing the DR for that.
And even if you did make harder versions of the content, once you've done those for the first time then you're done and it's now "throwaway" again. The only time you really repeat content is because there is still some reward you want from it. Once that is not the case, you don't really have the incentive to go back.
All games are like that.
Ditto on the praise, except:
Disappointed you don't really fight demon wall.
Annoyed at the return to hunts and the higher seals required.
New pvp mode is just a mess.
There is one thing I am disappointed in and that is that you get a weekly carboncoat instead of a carbontwine. I was really hoping to be able to slowly buff my armor so I could finally clear T9 and get into the final coil to farm armor and twines there. I just can't find a group to help me clear it and duty finder is... well... duty finder.
No offense, but t9 is a mechanics fight. The dps check is basically non existant now. The weekly carboncoat system is actually pretty genius; no rng (beyond getting people who can beat WoD) involved, and it helps new players beat the old content involved, and Syrcus Tower didn't have sands at first either. Considering they've said they are going to implement carbontwines in that series of content it'll probably be a similar weekly quest introduced later on.
Keeper of the Lake has pretty sneaky mechanics. Sneaky but not too devastating when the answer requires a bit of active thought mid-baytle.
I like!
The mechanics in the new dungeons and even WoD are about as fair as I could hope for once I got a look at them. Any fight worth it's value should always have mechanics that allow players the chance to react, adjust, and recover without having to rely on things like TS.
I'm not sure I agree with WoD song, the final battle maybe, but not the other one. It seemed a bit bland. However on the flip side. I think he pulled a truly genius one out of no where with WP HM. The song completely matches the mood of the dungeon. I'm not sure what the proper wording is to explain it. But I mean your going in there to rescue tonberries, and the song just makes you feel like your struggling to do just that. It was amazing really. I think he's really starting to get really good at this. PS was crazy good, esp when he made the extended version. I can't wait to hear what he does in 3.0.
