Let's just hope people won't just do hunts and ignore the rest of the content like what happened back in 2.3, because SE apparently can't learn a lesson on those
They got worse for me. It used to be <15 minutes to get in, now it is 50+ for a 24 person match. Yes, only one team of 8 per alliance, and that is if every one hits accept.
So disappointing, I was so hyped for this. The pvp itself is super fun but the queues are broke beyond belief. People in my PvP Linkshell of the same GC are getting near instant pops with 3 alliances, I am getting hour+ wait for 8 other people on my team. :<

I can only play FL after midnight, due to connection filters that otherwise would make me extrelmely laggish, but...
I've tried for the first time Slaughter yesterday, in something like 30 min I've partecipated in 3 instances, so I guess the queue time is pretty good in these days. granted, it is probably because the patch has just been released, so everyone is queueing for the new thing, might be wors as time pass and people got sick of pvp.
Absolutely shocking for me as healer in Maelstrom on Leviathan. I used to play FL a lot and usually had a maximum of 30m wait (but it usually popped earlier). I have managed to get in once since 2.5 dropped and that was not that long after servers went up, still took about an hour. Ever since I've had "more than 30m" message and have not actually seen a pop, usually give it an hour minimum. Last night I gave up after 4hrs as it is basically a block to me doing other content that requires Duty Finder. Annoying.
I don't think the pvp roulette helped queue times at all. 75:26 queue time at 5:30pm CST. Primal data center, Immortal Flames.
Over 30min on Aether flames. If anything they got worse. And it will never be good because of the GC restrictions. If there are more of one GC queuing before, lets say 40% flames, 40% mael, 20% adder, then this ratio is likely to stay the same even if more people play.
its always been bad for me ive been in queues for over 90mins n nothing popped even slaughter mode its a wait between 40-60mins lol
They need to fix their duty finder algorithms. If you que for more than one Fl as a party it will actually take LONGER to que. The reason being is that it will put you in que for secure and just wait til it fills. Meanwhile slaughter fills 3+ times and you are still stuck in a secure que that hasent popped. This happened many many times even when only selecting one fl because it would put the party in a 48 man match and fill the 72 man match first
This is a MAJOR flaw with the duty finders algorithms that needs to be addressed by a dev asap.

It's probably also why queing in multiple languages is bad.
I really think their duty finder is messed up. I've had so many cases where someone in the same GC, queing for frontlines on the same job, would get multiple queues before I do, while I wait and then some 48 man match pops an hour later.
Ok something is defiantly screwy with the queues. Me and another player, both on BLM, both queueing for slaughter only on English with the in progress checked, both on the same GC, and I queue up around 2 min before him. He get's the pop first for some reason even though I queued first.
And then his alliance isn't even full, but my in progress doesn't pop. I had to withdraw my queue, which at the time was like 17 min or so, and then queue again, and I get like an instant in progress pop.

Other than that it takes around 10-15 minutes.
Nah, screw fixing the broken base systems, what we need is more minions and attention over super important stuff like dual-gendered gear that's what really matters.
Kind of sad how after more than 1 year not a single word was uttered about their DF system being a huge mess(prob cause it's only super obvious in PvP, and who cares about that amirite), not even a simple acknowledgement..
The que times have easily doubled since patch. Its sucks because you can't really do anything while que'd, cant get full credit for fates or hunts, cant high level craft. All this patch did was split an already small pot of pvp'er's. If I wasn't a few wins form 200 I would have quit already.
The queue is the single worst part of PvP and has been for some time. All other fixes are pointless if you have to wait hours to play a 10 minute game. Sad part is no mention of it being fixed. That being said, I now get my PvP on in other games because its just sad here which is unfortunate since I like this game. Until we hear some fix is coming for this I will just be avoiding PvP which Ive been doing for months anyhow, carry on

From my experience, if my queue time is over 20 minutes, I cancel it and requeue (any longer and odds are you've been put in a dead queue. ie: other players in your data center who are queuing are being setup for a different match, thus yours will never fill).
There are times when I've canceled and requeued and an instant 'join in progress' pops up.
So usually how we go about this is we have PvP linkshells.
If it pops for someone, they tell the LS it popped.
Everyone else continually cancels and re-confirms queue. If the match is short folks, you will be thrown in. (must have in-progress clicked).

Secure queues are longer than normal, but that's to be expected. I don't know how Slaughter queues are - I have no love for that mindless zerging.
