#1 Ranked FC in the world this week?

So can anyone actually figure out how an FC with 6 active members is in the #1 spot this week with more points than the next 2 which both have over 500 active members? And I'm not talking 500 members with 20-30 on at a time. I mean with 150 members on during peak times and at least 50-80 otherwise.

This blows my mind. Is this even possible with cheating? Let alone legitimately!? Even if they are 100% focused on nothing but getting points I don't see how only 6 people could do this. Even bot-crafting or just plain not sleeping at all. I'd love to hear thoughts on this.

Anywho, probably just really dedicated people with a lot of time on their hands.

Have you met some of these Final Coil players? Sometimes I wonder if they even have real jobs.

Looking at our Fc rank going up/down is inviting new ppl, beating stuff u havent beat b4, leveling > rest so maybe they beat some content are pretty new formed and stuff?

These are the only things that get you points according to the Dev team, who we asked in order to clarify.

Quests (main scenario, side quests, beast tribe daily quests), Levequests and company leves, FATEs, Treasure hunts, Hunts, Crafting and gathering HQ items, Completing Quests via Duty Finder

Hmmmm, on a closer look that is kind of odd. Not one of those 6 have even a single level 50 yet, most are still on the lower end of it too for what classes they do have leveled. Though the FC has been around since early release. Could have had more members at one point. As to why they have top slot right now I have no clue. /shrug

Exactly. Thank you for noticing that. It just doesn't make sense to me. I asked the Dev team if this is possible and I'm waiting for a reply. Just really curious what everyone else thought about this.

Ah, okay. They're not even ranked. Your page is just ordered alphabetically, so their name will always appear first until someone makes a new FC name that will list above it. There's no option to sort by rankings.

Massive amounts of gil > buying/crafting items that can be turned into GC = loads of FC credits???

I just checked and half of them have all crafter/gatherers at 50 plus a number of DoW/DoM classes. Am I looking at a different ranking? I went to the FC Rankings, set filters to all worlds, all Grand Companies and looked at the top one. It has 6 members, so I assume it is the same.

The one I'm talking about has 3 members with 50's

We're on ultros, somebody already said it in here. Jade started the FC on Jan 2nd, and got us to Rank 8 in a couple days to buy he FC house. We are crafters, and require a lot of materials purchased with GC Seals, so we do grind GC seals.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get #1 again this week, since the 3 of us who are active members all do endgame crafting, and will be trying to get our Luci's for all of our crafts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that FC's with fewer members receive more points for their actions compared to larger FCs doing exactly the same actions. That is really the only way smaller FC's can remain competitive.

In other words, if I'm online with 5 other people in a small FC, crafting an HQ item earns the FC (made up number) 100 points. Where as my crafting the same HQ item while online with 50 people in a larger FC is only worth (made up number) 5 points.

That's just been my observation. I'm still fairly new, so take it with a grain of salt.

Hey Mishi,

They're talking about a different guild (if I'm reading the rankings right), but the reason said guild hit #1 (across all servers) is likely the same reason you guys rank highly.

I saw your FC lead's stockpile blog, you guys had a crazy amount of resources ready for this patch.
