Why are so many people fishing at Cape Westwind

I was up at Cape Westwind just now and couldn't help but notice quite a few people fishing off the cliff.

Is there a rare fish or something that can be caught there?

Titanic Sawfish for the Fisher quests.

Ah, I see! Are these fisher quests for anything special?

Not really a couple achievements with titles, some tackle, Gil, and if you finish the fisher quests 99 aetheryte tickets, street cred really. Oh and maybe an ulcer or a broken controller/keyboard.

Titanic sawfish and Pirate's Bane. Caught both of them after 3 days of struggle.

If you are not lucky at Cape Westwind you get silver sharks. They sell for 1200 on my server.

The Titanic Sawfish sells for 300K.

No idea what Pirate's Bane sells for.

Because fishing is the best thing to do when you want to watch a show and play FFXIV at the same time. I play on PS4 then go find a fishing hole put on a show and just wait for my controller to vibrate to let me know a fish is on. Recast and you don't even have to have your eyes on the screen. But like everyone else said Cape Westwind is for Titanic Sawfish.

Haraldr Haddock is also caught there for Haddock Dip which gives the biggest +Perception boost. But probably they were getting either the Titanic Sawfish or Pirate's Bane

Last I checked Silver Fish costs 3x as much as Hammerhead Sharks, at 5k ^^v
