Two possibilities.
1) Battle of Ishgard (Patch 2.5 part II)...if it's a main scenario raid.
2) Whatever we may get at the end of the Heavensward expansion (3.0).
I figure Main Scenerio Quest should remain storyline quests that require a team. That way new players have a way to complete such a quest easier.
i think it would've been better if they added MSQ such snowcloak and others
I know my opinion may not be very popular, but I always felt that the story mode primals should be in the main scenario part rather than the low level roulette. I imagine it could be tough for them to put Snowcloak on main scenario because it would make lower level chars unable to unlock the roulette unless they can clear and progress all the way to Snowcloak without using the main scenario roulette in their tome farming. But I would like to see more stuff put in there for variety just like I am very eager for 2.5 to add some variety to the expert roulette because I'm kind of sick of Satasha HM ><;
I really like this idea, actually.
When I'm doing low-level DF, part of the reason is the healthy chunk of XP that comes with clearing a dungeon. Super-handy when you're leveling alts. Primal kills award no experience. You get virtually nothing if one comes up on your low-level roulette and you've already received your daily bonus.
Stick the primals on the main scenario DF, bump the tomestone reward for queueing up slightly, and that ought to satisfy.
I vote to let the main scenario just to die off.
IMO we should have overlap. If SM primals are added to the MS roulette, they should also remain on the low level roulette
I support the idea of killing off main scenario roulette eventually. Praet and CM work well as closure to an RPG main storyline, but they were terrible ideas for an MMO. They were one-shot and done dungeons with no loot and only a few tomes from the final boss, while featuring 30 minutes of cutscenes. People either speed ran them for quick tomes back when WP and AK were the only other options, or they struggled to find a group that wanted to run them for the story. Then when first-timers dried up, SE added the roulette option so that fresh 50s that couldn't find groups would always have a chance to run it.
But now we just have everyone speed running main scenario roulette, and the occasionally newbie doesn't get to experience the dungeon story as intended. The whole concept is broken now, but roulette remains just so those unfortunate newcomers can finish the quest. I support the idea of future 8-man story dungeons, but only if cutscenes come before queue and after final boss. It hurts both tome farmers AND newcomers any other way.
I really don't get why people say a new person can't watch the cut scenes in a DF group speed running CM or Prae... I'm a Healer, WHM was my first 50, and sure I was left behind and missed a lot of the side things not related to story my first runs, but I was still able to watch all of the cut scenes. I mean it's not hard to solo heal, solo tank, or miss a DPS or two in them, so having someone dragging behind in cut scenes obviously isn't a big deal. In fact, dragging behind like that makes most of the fights fresh and new when you do roulette it XD I learnt my fights and mechanics in there in the second run.
I think this is a really good idea, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of technical restriction or "problem" with this because the story mode primals require a light party and the other dungeons need a full party.
Anyone can kill this theory if they have ever gotten the final guildhest in the guildhest roulette. That's one I have never gotten via the roulette....I can't remember the name exactly. Trinity something? Something trinity? It's the only guildhest that requires 8 players instead of 4.
I think you misunderstood me :)
What I mean, is that Praetorium and CM require a full party to complete (8 people), while story mode primals only require a light party (4 people). I just meant it wouldn't surprise me if that was a problem with the duty roulette system that would cause it to not work. The two different party size options in the same queue.
hum... main scenario quest are the stuff that requires 8 people, so I guess is separated like that so the system can roulette players of the same number of members, so, another main scenario possibility must be a story quest that requires 8 people
