Coming Back After 6 Months - Best EU server for a UK player

So I've been away from the game for about 6 months. I'm currently on a legacy US server and now need to move to a EU server.

Any suggestions on a good EU server for a UK person like myself?

Lich is fine for me

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me, but Moogle been very good for me :)

Phoenix - pretty good server, good FC's to choose from :)

I've not had any problems with Lich.

Doesn't really matter a lot as 3.0 will bring them to UK

I don't think there any BEST servers :/ depends always on personal active times and people you meet. I am on Cerberus and I think we have a great MIX of people (yea elitist included >.<) about 25% UK 20% German 20% French (my feeling that is) and also a great bunch of other nationalities from US, Australia, Other Europe and Africa. And I personally enjoy this mix ^^

I think with a bit of luck it should be possible to find an active decent group on whichever server you end up on. A few others here are recommending Lich which I'd agree seems to be a friendly server with a majority population of English speakers.

If you do end up choosing Lich, let me know, I'll get you added to a couple of linkshells to get you started :).

I notice no one ever mention Ragnarok, which I find to be a very enjoyable experience, although the only one I've had. Big UK and German population from what I've seen.

odin seems all english speaking almost but all natunalities, with large popualation similar to pheonix server, but pheonix has less english speakers.
shiva is german dominated , it's nice for me and i am happy there . moogle used to be dominated by the frensh with a lot of players that dont speak english, but i hear that is changing with server transfares etc, there shud be still quite a few. how ever i heard moogle has a lot of bad players, by that i mean less skilled players. if your intrested in speedy progression i heard odin is good for that as well. don't know about the others.

Because it is filled with french, german, and italian and some spanish and arabic. I think UK timezone are in minority... I feel that as I can't find any raid team -_-
They want to start always at 19:00 or earlier and end at 21 or 22:00 max when I leave from work at 19:00. It is so frustrating >_<
I don't find any raid do like 20-24:00 for example because most of them are GMT+1 or +2 or +3 which lead to start and end a lot early for GMT users >_<

On Lich our Raiding starts at 21 of your timezone, and a lot of people in FC agreed that is best time, not to mention almost all PF fill and play that hour.
It maybe on Lich there are more players busy with jobs instead of school? ;)

That time is awesome. Too bad here that doesn't happen -_- all because when is 22 most of them seem to go to bed.

At the last official count from SE, Phoenix was the highest populated EU server and is predominantly English speaking. Moogle has a very large French population and one of the others has a large German population (can't remember which).

I like it on Moogle too :)

Odin is good for English speaker. large pop and haven't seen much apart from English spoken....also a lot of HC players doing endgame and multi class character so progression is good weather your staring from lv 1 or joining server with a lv50...

As long as it isn't Moogle, you'll be fine.

Lots of UK and Western European players here on Cerberus at least from my own experience. As for the types of players, I find it no different than any other server. More than enough to call Cerberus my home :)
