Looking for a Good NA Server

Hello there!

I've been playing FFXIV pretty much since its release. I've been on the EU server ever since and I'm finally hitting a point to where I'm leaning more toward a server in my own time zone. However, I heard some NA servers were "specific" in certain subjects (like Rping) and not as populated. I'm looking for a a server that is active and has lots of friendly's, especially when it comes to hitting raids. Please, feel free to give me feedback. Thanks! :D

Balmung is likely your best bet, in relation to your requirements. However, it's pretty packed so making a character there can be.... a challenge.

Exodus is a fine server. We have a LS containing all the FC leaders and I have found90% of them to be very nice and willing to help one another which speaks well of the companies themselves. Let me know if you head our way. Would be happy to chat with you about a Free Company that might suit your needs.

Wow! Looks amazing! :D I'll definitely let you know. For now, I'll create a spare character to check the server out. If I grow comfortable over time, I'll be more than happy to transfer. ^^ I couldn't agree more that finding an awesome group can make the game so much more worth while. ^^

Stay away from Balmung and Excalibur if you want a house. There is so much crying about no lots available when all the other servers have low utilization of the personal housing.

PPL will try to present their server but you'll never know .. To pick the server is ike gamble .. just saying

I wouldn't say all of the other servers have low utilization.

Sargatanas is also out of Small houses, it just took longer to happen.

I recently moved from Excalibur to Gilgamesh. I kept hearing that it has one of the highest active populations and its also on the aether data center which is better for queues ive noticed. Theres a big endgame community here but Im pretty sure any of the high pop servers would be fine.

I personally love the Sargatanas server. Lots of experienced but laid-back people around to run pretty much anything with you. Great FCs. Ton's of people in the last coil if that's your thing. We have style too. ;D

When transferring character creation doesn't matter if i remember.. i went to odin with the character creation locked and got in no problem.

Just dont go Malboro.

Most servers are a good choice. The game is thriving very wel currently. I'm obviously going to vouch for my server; Sargatanas, but there are many good choices. I would first check to see if any IRL friends play and find out what their server is.
