To Whom Ever uses Duty Finder a Simple Suggestion

Please for the love of god STOP putting on random gear that doesn't effect your job just to make item level, it really grinds my gears when i see for example a Tank with MND rings on just because it was all he had, or a BRD with STR ACC on it really doesnt help you at all.

I'd say you're preaching to the choir, but it's more like preaching to the drive-thru at McDonalds. I had an incident with a DRG with VIT earrings (among gear way too low for the dungeon) that said he refused to pay for gear at that level (38!).

Do low level dungeons have item levels?

Or is this for the high level dungeons?

You're lowered down to ilvl around that level if I recall right, but there's only regular level requirements until 50.

This is more catered toward End game Content such as EX primals and coils but it is a good habit to get into at lower levels.

If it's a sub 50 dungeon, there's quite a bit of gear leniency, especially on DPS classes who can usually get away with mismatched gear or gear 5-10 levels lower with ease (Tanks are a little stricter but only a certain amount so)

As mentioned it's still a good habit to get into, but unless the gear mismatch is massively impacting their ability to meet the things their job needs to do in low level dungeons, it's not a terrible error or anything.

Post-50 though, yes, it does kind of sting when our group queues 7/8 for Turn 5 to get some new players in and our other tank via DF is wearing like 3 INT accessories (not even STR which could be sort of justified)

I didn't actually find it that hard to meet up with the ilevels. o.O Though I think I got there with Low Level Roulette and I believe Main Story Roulette and just got Sol's quickly enough.

I honestly prefer having a player that know's what he's doing more than one who's geared out.

Even a character that misses every now and then is better than a character who is dead or wipes the party, even on DPS checks.

I even had a tank with full 110 gear come into Ramuh EX not knowing what the hell he was doing and consistently wiped the group.

I loved my whm in Satasha hm the other day. Basic AF gear left side. Auroral and noct accessories. No mind accs. But obviously had other jobs capped because they had Auroral and noct. We wiped on 1st pull and i bailed on that crap. If you got lv 50 chars with 110 gear and level a new job you can get some relevant gear instead of showing up to expert roulette in functionally i30ish gear.

Got paired with a WHM in crafting gear yesterday, yeah, not impressed.

I admit I'm guilty of doing this, I used my crafting accessories to meet the ilvl 50 requirement for CT.

Yes, it's annoying when people do that because it's cheating the system.

When they added first coil to DF, I tried DFiing turn 1. Everyone was geared normal cept 1 tank who was in nearly full ilvl 70 PvP gear :S Somehow managed to get past ADS and to the snake, snake proceeds to one shot the pvp gear tank, went all nerdy ragey when it was explained about his gear....

DF coil and ex primals should have an accuracy requirement listed to push players to have a semblance of proper gear for the content they are attempting.

Seems ok actually, tank secondaries don't matter much outside of progression anyways and pvp gear matches pve gear in terms of primary stats. The healers should have been able to keep him alive in their sleep.

Of course if he was a crap tank......I can recall one tank pulling caduceus with provoke, and claiming the reason he couldn't hold agro was because his ilvl 110 weap couldn't hold up against a 115 nexus. The blm ripped agro with his opening thunder II xD

They should use the primary stat instead of ilvl when using DF as this would solve the problem with people using different accessories or accessories overall to boost their ilvl, had a time when I ran Titan where one of the tanks had i44 gear on left side and i90 accessories, meaning a lot lower defense than required. Also it's quite stupid that I'm forced to use other accessories than the ones I want to use to queue up for a T9 farm party as ruby drops my ilvl below i105.
