Frontline disconnection

Good day to all Eorzian,

I have been playing the game for almost a year now, I have been playing Frontline since it was released (3.X) Since then, I got hooked to it so much that each time I log in, I queue myself to join the battle. Everything is smooth and I had to move away from the game for 3 months for business purposes.

After the patch of 3.5 where they add "some fixes" to the game, I keep getting disconnected once the game commenced. Since we are already at 4.X patch, I am still encountering the same problem where it keeps getting disconnected at random times.

Everything works fine except "Frontline". I have tried to connect directly to my modem alone without a router and still has the same problem. I do not have a private IP address as it is set to public and the modem itself is in "Bridge" mode. Again, "Everything works fine except Frontline"

Has any of you encounter this issue/problem as well?

Same problem. I'm working on network and i play with 2 different internet provider (at my home & gf"s home).

If youre havng issues try getting off mount, most of the disconnect ppl are reporting are when mounted expeacially near or around the mid area/going up ramps. It happens to me, ill be fine all day then get constant 90ks, only thing that works that match is walking everywhere.... next match it will be back to normal.

Okay, I haven't tried that. Let me try it right now as I post this and will get back shortly

I tried what you have said but I still have the same issue, I ran 5 battles and same issue persist. I even tried not using mount and just do sprint and not going to mid part of the map and ramps.

Is it every single game no matter what? the mount thing that people report are for the few random games that there is a 90k issue, I get it maybe 1 in 20 games.

I have done some digging on this. Its basically your ping. You see when frontlines first came out people started to report that people was teleporting across the field or basically rubber bqnding so bad the the people who was trying to fight them couldnt kill them. Basically its like what happens when people use lagswitchs in CoD. When you do that your ping goes up tremendously. To counter this SE set in place some kind of ping config in frontlines so that if your ping isnt stable or shoots up then poof 90k. What they didnt put into consideration is the amount of people who have horrible Internet. I started to get 90k right after the personal housing patch witch i believe was the patch they started to implement this and I can no longer enjoy the the only thing in this game that was worth my time.

Yes, every time I join Frontline I keep being disconnected randomly. The least, twice every gameplay

My internet and its ping works pretty fine and had no problems at all.

so basically does your ping change allot more when your on mount cuz your downloading more things faster? that kinda makes sense but man its really frustrating to have a crutch like that. Everyone around you running around, getting where they need to be jus i the nick of time and your like hmm hm hmm running along "ill get there eventually..."

Up to now to be honest for me is going all way better, I had only twice 90k in the last 20-30FL.
About a month ago it was really a pain for me, when the gate open if I was on a mount I had the 30-40% of probability to get a 90k, it was really a pain.
(and also other 90k totally random)

I don't know if it could make any sense, but in the last 2 week I switched from Twin Adders to Immortal Flames :/

How i picked up on there being a correlation to being mounted somehow, was because wih practically every rejoin, I had to:
- Dismount
- Use aethyrflow (ah but those three stacks I was saving for the conflict I was headed to? Gone.)
- Resummon Garuda/Eos (hopefully with no one around so I don't have to waste a swiftcast)

When that was happening 2-3x a match and with it happening at the worst possible times sometimes- very very maddening.

I feel your pain too :/
Also it's strange that FFXIV remember that I was on a mount but not that I have some buffs or pet.

My Eos was killed more by 90k than enemies XD
