Put the Au Ra on hold and make a fox race instead. This alone would attract 5mil new subscribers.

On the other hand damn those male Au Ra's look good. Let the male Au Ra's come out, put the females on hold make a female only fox race. *nods*

I don't think it would make much of a dent in the cat's population. Plus we already have a "furry" race, lets spice it up a little bit more before making a new one.

I think that will attract some new subscribers. Miqo'te is probably the most popular race I see people play. Got quite a few Hyurs as well.

1 zodiac, 2 nexus, 1 novus, 6 atma weapons. Out of 9 classes. 3/3 DoL Supras. Currently working on crafting weapons side by side with converting the 2 nexus into zodiac. edit: i have no plans to use dol/h supras for the sake of making of gil, im working on them simply because its something to do. I guess the same can be said with obtaining all atma weapons.

I wonder if folks know just how much time and effort it takes to create a new race. Not only do you have to make the new animations and stuff, but you also have to go back and make sure the old gear fits properly on the new model. Also there's the voice acting and customizations to look at too. Its not just a "throw-together-in-a-month" thing.

And I for one am excited to play the Au-Ra, its something entirely fresh for the series. Foxes are cool and all, Ive nothing against them, but does it fit the game?

Obviously, we just need a race like the Charr that are bestial and run on all fours.

I don't mind a dragon race (or voidsent race? It's still all up in the air...), but personally I would have preferred something different from what the other races have to offer; mainly, I would've loved a race with androgynous males. Sure, I was able to make a rather feminine-looking Elezen man, but his shortest built's height and large shoulders still betray his gender much.

I'd like a race with thin, slender males with short shoulders, big eyes, pointy chins, etc. All those traits typical of anime boys that make them very feminine.

I think a new dragon race will bring in some people. While I'm not sure 5million, I'm sure a fox race would as well.

Fox race would likely look like Miqo'te though, except with a bigger tail, as said previously.

Could just give Miqo'te a new tail option in that case.

A Hawkman race could be fun, and it could be like in BoF 1 and 2, where they can hover above the ground by about a foot or so (but they'd probably default to only a couple inches up, and just hover higher temporarily when jumping), but their wings are still too weak for true flight. Would still be kind of weird though.

A Nine-tailed Fox race could be cool and unique enough from Miqo'te, but I'd hate to see what the modelers do to try and keep the tails from clipping into each-other. Especially if they want to try and make the tails look as if they're actually alive and not just made of styrofoam or something.

Honestly though, of these two ideas, I personally think the Hawkman idea is more likely. Enix made the Ogre Battle/Ogre Tactics games, and Hawkmen were a thing in those games, so yeah. I mean, sure, they were basically just humans with wings, but considering what SE did with the Au Ra, I think that's the most we can hope for with any playable race they might release in the future.

But think of all the dovahkiins that the Au Ra would attract!

But, as the people already griping about Au Ra would say, that's STILL basically just a Hyur or an Elezen with extra bits glued on. They can't even tell it from Rock Volnutt, Seras Victoria, or Jynx. Since they have pink hair, obviously they're a Lightning/Serrah clone.

Can we has real elf race? >_>; elf ears, smaller body size, no big shoulders, glowing runes as tattoos..

maybe if I squint really hard Au'ra will look like a viera. I wanted bunnies so bad /sigh.

Has OP still not cleared t5? If no, then you have no valid opinion of Au Ra.

I really wanted Viera... but I guess this race will do for now -_-
