I Created a Macro for Reporting Gil Sellers!

So here's how this works:
1) Get a /tell from a Gil Seller
2) Hit this macro.
3) Copy and paste the /echoed text into the report form
4) Copy and paste the gil seller's message into the "Detail" section.
5) Manually put in the date.
6) DONE!

/echo ■World Name
/echo Enter your Server here.
/echo .
/echo ■Zone
/echo <pos>
/echo .
/echo ■Date when the violation was observed
/echo Enter date manually.
/echo .
/echo ■Character Name
/echo <r>
/echo .
/echo ■Detail
/echo Gil seller.
/blist add <r>

What I do is put in the current date, then change it as soon as I log in every day.

ex)
Today is: February 17th/2014
Tomorrow I would just change it to the 18th.

PC users can just use the Windows print screen options and capture the name, the text of the tell, etc.... but this could be useful for console users I guess.

I'm on PC and I think this is handy! It's annoying to fill the form sections but with this its really just one copy paste!

Yeah PC users can use the print screen but it's still a hassle. We would have to locate the picture (dunno about yall but I have a TON of screen shots! lol) Plus I don't think we can upload pics to the gm in game. It would be so much easier with this macro.

Do you have to type in everything exactly as you have done it? And on top of that for those of us who have never used macros or are not familiar with them? Can you explain how to do them?

This is nice...but does it blend?

Hey novaura. I'd give you a complete walk thru but I am currently at work. This link should help as it has a photo in it but shows exactly how you would make a macro. It's Kinda "Kinda" like writing code. Just slap what the OP posted and it should work ^^

To be honest we should have report option when right clicking a name in chat that sends a report with players name, date, time, world and last messages sent.

Blacklisting someone should blacklist the account not just that character. So any chars made after (as Gil sellers do, make a char, spam, delete and make another to bypass blacklist to spam again).

Now I wonder why we don't have a ''<date>'' command to shows us the current server time/day in the chat, then that would be the perfect macro.

Also you should add '/blist add <r>' to the top so it blacklists them immediately as well.

Until they add a right click report option the majority of people won't report. I know I don't report gil sellers/bots since it takes too freaking long to report people.

Just updated the macro to have a cleaner format that more closely resembles the "Report Cheating" layout.

Twist, the <Date> command is added, but shows the eorzean date, lol.
