Nothing new so far it seems. All I saw was a Hoary Minion for 6 green Fallen Stars.

It indicates that a special item will be available for purchase December 24, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. (PST)

I've looked all over... so far, I don't see anything special.

Kinda disappointed as this morning is the last time I'll be able to play before leaving town for 2 weeks.

You can now buy the Hoary Snowman minion for 6 Fallen Green Stars. Yup, that's it. They added another way to obtain it.

I'm hoping it was a mistake to change the hoary minion to 6 green stars and that they actually planned to add something special.

Hopefully this is a glitch and maintenance tonight is to fix it. Or I could be hoping for too much. :P

Except for the minion I've be saving all my fallen stars and haven't bought a single thing. I was really looking forward to the special gift.

I'm going to keep saving my stars. I don't want to give up yet on the Premium Gift Bags. Maybe there is still hope for a Christmas miracle! Square can rectify this by putting the barding in.

Hoary was the first thing I got with my fallen stars. Pretty sure everyone who wanted him already has him. :/

Today's special gift - A big fat box of dissapointment!

The starlight celebration page says "certain items available during daily quests will become available on 24th". Available, as in something you could already attain. I know it sounds like something new but they already have all the items listed for rewards, just like every other event. Nothing new just a different obtaining method.

It doesn't say special. It says some seasonal items will be available to purchase. I think they mean that all the items shown were not in the vendor, and will be today. I don't think they mean it will be something new.

Have seen no vendors selling them but the ones that have been.

I'm pretty bummed out as well. I was really looking forward to a surprise today :O
