Considering that pic says it is Monk's AF2 gear (plus it's quite an old pic) I very much doubt it comes from WoD in the first place.

I believe the pic in the OP was showing gear for Monk, but I'm not 100% certain of that.

Could be PUG/ROG/MNK/NIN, CT gear is usually shared between a few jobs.

Yes, there might be a slight color difference between the two but it's likely going to be for both imo.

WoD = World of Darkness, the last part of the Crystal Tower.

Nin and Monk share the same CT gear. So it will be both of theirs. WoD is short hand for World of Darkness Sinister since that's the next CT raid.

If this is in fact CT (World of Darkness) gear and not AF2, then yes it will most certainly be for PGL/ROG/MNK/NIN.

NIN and MNK share not only equipment from Labyrinth of the Ancients, but all previous MNK gear post 2.4.

This ^ Just like the MNK and DRG sets of Syrcus Tower, it's likely we'll start seeing NIN and MNK sets match, with DRG having their own unique armor.

For all we really know though, WoD could drop AF2 and it really could be NIN, considering the similarities to the MNK set.

No they don't for post 2.4 they added scouting set for NIN, accessories are shared with NiN/BRD. You main MNK? So should know their aint any DEX on poetics and Dreadwyrms sets.

Pre 2.4 they added dex to MNK gear to save having to make all new sets for old content.

^ I was about to post the same thing.

A lot of gear-sets designs are shared by Monk/Ninja at the moment.
Some people seem to be taking this the wrong way.

Such as the new crafted set, and as far as I'm aware the Final Coil set is similar (or at least he design for the Ninja gear reflect that of the Gloam Tabard from before.

Technically, pre-2.4, NIN didn't exist so, no, they didn't share gear. Post-2.4, when the Ninja job was implemented, they were added to all pre-existing MNK armor, along with dexterity.

World of Darkness for the first. Just because they share initials doesn't mean they're talking about the other one. My first thought would be "what could WoD mean in FFXIV?" I don't instantly thing "Absolute Virtue" from FFXI when I say "AV" for Aurum Vale.

For the second, there's a semantic involved that you missed. Pre-2.4, no one shared MNK gear. Post-2.4, NIN shared gear with MNK, while also getting their own gear.

On topic, I guess MNK because of the claws.

Camate was live translating for that part of the stream, and he said that was MNK gear.

I hope it is MNK, its a beautiful set. Although I'm dissapointed I didn't hoard my Poetics...I have the full left side Monk ...and now I would much rather have this set (I cuda spent my Poe on my whm!!)

Don't be a shit head. It is clear he meant monk gear pre 2.4, not the game pre 2.4. Ninja has gotten a separate set of gear for everything since it's release. They might share a design with another job, such as bard with poetics, but they probaby won't share an actual piece.

Nooooo no no no no! That set is gorgeous and I actually thought it was ninja at first because of the headband but if it's for monk... Pleeeease make it shared with ninja like many other pieces of gear! That set is gorgeous and I would be very sad to not be able to wear it proudly on my main!

It's Monk. Was live translated as well as translated by the community team. There is no if...it is monk. As for the AF2 photos....logic says that since they showed drg wearing the af2 gear in heavensward trailer, and that drg af2 gear was shown in the same live letter as that monk af2 gear, monk af2 will be in 3.0, not in world of darkness

Edit: Ofc, they can do the same thing they did with final coil gear in terms of design and just change colors, but that screenshot is still monk

Just hope Monk gets some new better looking gear period, because I keep looking over at Ninja and thinking, "Should I give up my Monk for better looking clothes?" I don't want to! Could also use some better weapon skins!
