Starlight Sentinel

Has anyone found a Sun or Moon topped Starlight Sentinel?
Ive been running around aimlessly in Lavender beds trying to find anything but the star topped one.

You buy them and put them on your lawn, making them available to all for their quests. Give it a day - the seed tree is there to get you started.

That makes soooo much more sense now. Thank you!
I obviously misread the quest text greatly!

It's not blazingly obvious :) But I love how they've built this seasonal around the residential districts :)

So costwise to get everything it will take

9 Greens - All 3 trees
3 Greens - All Clothing
18 Greens - All Furniture
1 each Red/Blue/Yellow - Minion

There are 14 days of the event and you can get 3 per day from dailies, plus one green to start, so 43 fallen stars in total. If you want to get all the above items that will take 33 stars, so you will have 9 left to spend on Gift Bags and Food. If you don't have a house and don't want any of those items (note they are tradeable so you could them on the MW) you will have more stars to spend on the consumable items.

I wonder how the Gift Bags work. And what is inside each of them.

Seems like mostly garbage in the bag.

Also I think they're supposed to add more to the list on christmas eve, I assume the premium bag. Might want to hold on to extras until then in case.

You can exchange 1 of the color ones for 2 green ones. The exchange is next to the vendor. So you can get 6 per day or 84 total green stars during the event.

This! >_< I realized it after blowing two of the dailies on regular greens. ;_;

how to got another color. Today i got green only Q_Q

@ Zephyr Once people start placing trees on their plots of land, you can use their tree for the quest instead of the one near the quest givers. I believe this is what gives the different colors. Hence why Star = yellow, Moon = blue and Sun = red for colors and the regular quest tree is green.

Sargatanas server
Sun/Red tree can be found at my home, Ward 8, House 17, Lavbeds. Very close to the NPC.

Someone should make a list perhaps.

I made a thread for Moogle Server trees here, help each other out and post if you have a tree!

What what? How can you sell access? It is not like you can stop anyone from entering you front yard :/

We just placed one in our front yard, and I've already seen a number of people use it. The whole reason why I made a thread was to help others find trees like ours.

EDIT: The PF does have someone selling an actual tree. In which case I hope people realize they can get them easily themselves by doing today's quests.

Which quest requires to get to a tree ? All the daily quest I got was go to the tree and then give the gift to the child.

Here are all my three extra types in Goblet @ Moogle:

Red (Sun Topped) at Goblet Ward 5, plot 5
(use Goblet West Aethernet and it's right East of the Aethernet) at X8 / Y9

Blue (Moon Topped) at Goblet Ward 5, plot 11
(use Goblet West Aethernet and drive north from there) at X8 / Y11

Yellow (Star Topped) at Goblet Ward 5, plot 10
(use Goblet West Aethernet and drive north from there) at X8 / Y10
(they're basically next to each other)

They have it hidden and put it out only if you pay them 10k. Anyway - I've posted in your thread as well - Sun, Star and Moon topped are already up so if anyone need those at Moogle / Goblet you're more than welcomed to visit for FREE!

Oh - sorry - missread your post. It's the same quest but instead of going to the "default" green tree you need to go to the ones put up by players at their plots.

First do the Quest in Old Gridania, you'll get send to the lavender beds. Once you've completed your quest there the daily quests for the other housing wards will open up.

When on your daily quest, find a starlight tree in one of the housing wards

True. But to get yellow/blue/red fallen stars you will need trees placed by players.

When you are grabbing a letter from a tree, you can grab it from the tree in an housing yard. The type of tree you grab it from affects the reward.

Yea I'm selling a tree. Not everyone will want to waste 4 green stars to get a sun topped tree, or even less do the dailies to get excessive green stars when they can get colored in the first place. Also some will probably want them for sheer decorations. The issue however is taht they can't be listed on the market board so I put up a PF with a joke prize at first (1mil) and got some non-amused tells. People seem to think just because you can get 4 green stars right away means everyone will want to.

Personally I think it is a good thing that they can't be sold on the marketboard.

But indeed, those who don't want to spend fallen stars on a tree are free to buy it. I'f someone would rather spend gil on them who am I to stop them, and if you can earn some extra gil in the process that is good for you I guess. And to your credit, your PF listing is totally fair about it.

By now many people in the residential districts should have them up so you can see for yourself if you are unsure what one you want ^^

But in general its just a colour scheme difference (based on whats on top Star=Yellow, Sun=Dalamud Red, Moon=Blue) and the fact they give a different coloured star in the event.

Instead of interacting with the normal trees for your starlight daily, interacting with a Star-Topped gives Yellow Fallen Star as reward, Moon-Topped gives Blue Fallen Star, and Sun-Topped gives Red Fallen Star

ic, it should be easy to get all the event items

I'm a little confused. I've gone through the basic quest and each of the housing areas' daily quest (really annoyed that's its DAILY. With as many alts as I want to get the basic items, this turned into a less-than-fun, stressful event to complete in the time limit.), but I have not gotten any achievement for the event. I don't see a new quest marker at Mih Khetto's. What am I missing?

eta: found the new quest in Lavender Beds. Amh Garanjy is the quest giver.

Also, I found a star topped tree and it gave me a green star. It seems the standard trees are ALSO star topped. Be sure to get trees only in people's yards. It's kind of confusing. ><;

Read the name of the tree! The normal trees are called Starlight Sentinel.

Ah. Awesome about the colorus to green exchange. I can use an alt to exchange for greens to buy the furnitre for my house.

Anyone tried out the giftbags yet?

Most of the time, I can't see the item name for the people surrounding it. ^^v
Or it being white lettering against a white wall or grey pavement.
A better tip... the special colored stars come from trees that are all white with corresponding color ribbons on them. :o

Keep in mind, there's gonna be only a tiny sub-set of players with lots of alts to get through the event that will feel a bit time-pressured in this way. :)
