Let us see who is in a PF group before we join it

Seriously. That way if we hate someone who's in that group we don't have to join it first to see them there then leave it after.

Unless I'm blind and there is a way to see. But I really hate that feeling of accidentally joining the same PF as someone you really can't stand being around >_>

Just join quitely and raid ._. I face this many time as long we get the job done or manage to learn something is all that matter to me

It's often the person asking these type of things people don't like to be around with!

On a more serious note, would not hurt the game to see who's in the group. Sometimes I'm pleasently surprised when I bump in to friends in PF.

It's probably a UI thing (ps3) which would use too much memory.

if you join a PF or DF is not for the people but for the content, otherwise you go with your friends in a static more kind of type of group....or FC members although in there too you might have people you hate no? So if it is for the content, what do you care if you like or dislike this or that person ?

Do what you are supposed to do and dont care much about the others, pretty simple in my books, you dont have to *sleep* with the one you hate eh?

Better to be in-game with people you dislike than to be at a real-world job where you're required to work alongside people you dislike for...8...hours...straight. Just thought I would point that out, lol.

Just leave if it is that big of an issue.

Content is the very thing I have seen time and time again that players on the forums out right tell someone to queue pf for instead of df. Meaning that they must assume that using PF to clear content is a good thing and df is a bad thing. Personally I can use both to clear content but this player is just asking for some more info so they can use PF. Why all a sudden scare someone away from PF when so many before have said use it?

Its too bad a lot of people share this mentality. I remember when reputation on a server was important but now you can be a total jackass and people will still play with you to clear content because apparently progress is more important than manners. If I join a pf and someone with a really bad rep is in there I will just say I dont play with that person and leave the group. They can usually figure out why.

I agree with op that it would be nice. There are a couple people that I know from experience are terrible at their job or just really unpleasant to play with (very obstinate or trollish). And if there are two similar groups up I'd rather join the one that has someone I've noticed is great at their job or that I'm friendly with. No need to be so rude, guys.

If they can be the bigger person by continuing to play alongside you, then why can't you do likewise? This sort of thing is so petty it beggars belief.

I'm simply mind boggled by the number of people who think you NEED to tolerate being with someone who makes your gaming experience miserable. I'm paying monthly for this game just like everyone else and if someone wants to ruin their reputation by being unpleasant to other people then they deserve people not wanting to play around them.

If we let it get to the point of excluding certain players based on whether we like them or not then who's to say there won't be people requesting to see another players gear, their dps, or exact ilvl before entering df? Yeahhhh....no. If you don't like someone or most likely some people, why can't you blacklist them or just leave the duty? It seems like a simple answer to your simple problem.

this would be a really nice addition, it's really awkward and shitty to join a pf only to find someone you have on your blacklist or any other known creeps/assholes and having to just silently leave.

You already can see their ilvl before entering PF, and I'd almost be okay with being able to see their gear. You do realize that this thread is about PF, not DF, right? If you run into someone you don't like in DF, sure, just leave the group (or maybe kick them). For the PF, though, it's more of a hassle.

I'd be happy with just a marker on the PF that it includes people on your blacklist. Really only ones I want to avoid.

I misread, its late :O As soon as you find someone you don't particularly care for in pf why is it so hard to just leave? :/ It's still a simple solution to a simple problem. If you don't like someone in the pf you are joining you can also leave and make your own? I just fail to see why everyone has to make a mountain out of a molehill on some topics.

You don't have to befriend PF people. You can hate one of your raiding mates. Doesn't prevent from working together until shit is done

I agree you can just leave but it also feels awkward as another guy mentioned. I'm not looking to cause drama and I don't even make any mention out of it if there's something I don't like there I just leave it and that's it. This is more of a "Silently not join the party with the person you don't get along with" so there can't really be any harm done like this.

I also realize that just because I can't get along with someone doesn't mean others can't too. I'm not talking about blacklisting or getting people kicked or trash talking. I'm just looking for a silent and non-awkward way to just not join something they are in.

Well. . .(All that follows is basically my playing devil's advocate. I agree that OP's suggestion would be a nice QOL change, but I also don't think it's necessary.)

If I join a half-full group and then leave, I've now locked that PF slot to whatever job I left as. This slows down the recruiting process or forces the leader to manually adjust the PF setting back to the desired state. Worse, if I take the last spot in a group and then leave, the leader has to completely relist the group and deal with being at the bottom of the list.
