Silly request..yeah..but as the savior of the world, you would expect that more than my small FC of 8 or so people would show up at my wedding... At the very least Hilde and crew could have popped in...
I prefer playing with a very tight group of real life friends, but would like to think thst my character has many friends based on her actions in game.
So, a request: can we invite certain key NPCs to our wedding? Perhaps some requirements to unlock them would be fun...and make sense.
Level 1? Yeaaah, maybe the innkeeper will go. Level 50, all major content done? Merlwyb damn well better show up.
Ideally: the scions, hilde and co, the innkeepers, guild masters, more or less as any major npc who was part of the main story, or side stories.

Should work like Skyrims awful excuse for a wedding system. Random NPCs from quests you've done show up. Finished the Corpse Groom quest? Edda shows up to crash your wedding.

It does sort of make very little sense that none of the scions would show up to something supposedly as important as the warrior of light's "eternal bond"--you saved basically all of their lives (not to mention all of Eorzea) and they can't even be bothered to show up to your wedding? See if I bail you out from the next primal, you lazy asses! The city-state leaders make more sense, given they are presumably busy running their cities, although Kan-E-Senna should be able to be there, since the church is in the Shroud.
I also agree that it would be fun to have them at least in the background of the cutscene or something... -

Also reminds me how frustrating it is SE doesn't ask us what we want before implementing things...
We're always grasping after the fact instead of them just coming out & asking, "hey, we're implementing marriages, what sorts of things would you like to see? What would you like at your ceremony? In terms of reception? Etc." -

And to the people who said SE should have asked us first, SE is in now way obliged to solicit the playerbase for suggestions with every change they make. You don't (necessarily) have stock in their company. You aren't a member of the design team, or even the localization team. Thinking that they should cater to the whims of the vocal minority on the forums is really just more entitlement. -

Thank you all for the support. Honestly, I never thought of this before doing my own wedding because, frankly, I thought it was a given that NPCs would be there... After the fact and watching other player recordings kind of left me dumb founded.
Should square enix decide to do this, I hope we can re watch our wedding cutscenes... -
