Emergency Maintenance?

Hi, I saw an Emergency Maintenance this morning before going work and thought "Good! Square Enix fixed this whole P2W with the tradeable cash shop stuff fast, chapeau for them!"

But.... I don't see anywhere the classical notes after these kind of maintenances telling about changes... Is because I'm blind? Does someone knows about the notes? Did they solve the cash shop big errors and issues?

At the following time, to fix issues with the Eternal Bond reservation system, we will be performing emergency maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will be unavailable.

I'm guessing in their internal testing they found a bug with the booking system and wanted to get it fixed before the system is active tomorrow.

You still can't schedule anything at the moment.

Somehow I doubt they will change the systems without giving people advanced notice, since this involves real money.

Square-Enix never said it was a about anything else besides the reservations.

No I don't see it either and have been waiting to see what was done during the maint

For some reason I really really thought it would have to be with the limitbalance break in the game provoked by this tradeable items....It clearly deserves an emergency maintenance if it was not their intention to be used as they are being used now...

SE is making so much money off people buying wristlets to sell, from a business/stock standpoint it would be a bad idea to take it down lol atleast until the "rush" calms down and the funds only trickle in as people use the system "correctly." Wished these extra funds would go to better server capacity but Valentines Day is coming up in a couple of months gotta focus on those ca$h $hop ideas~

Games so called balance has already been broken thanks to illegal RMT. Some of those bracelet buyers can just go back to that.

However. Here goes a small text of why it is not the same. Trust. People don't trust those RMT that could just easily don't deliver you stuff or even take your account or who knows what worse, so the so presence of RMT you say is doubtful. Instead, if the way to obtain that in-game gil is by SE itself, and 100% guaranteed, now you won't stop that people from do it. And the people that didn't want to do it because feared to be deceived by the illegal RMT ones will now do it with the cash shop. Thus, having a 500% increase of this ****. (Taking in mind the ones that really got their money and not deceived, in a small amount of those ones who really risked to try, that are not so many)

Legal RMT is far worse than the illegal because people is encouraged to do it, and then the real money will have a new place determining your efforts inside the game...

Basically SE has politely requested that we use the service as it's intended but as it's not against the TOS to sell the bracelets they can't can't take action as they would traditional rmt. But should it continue they will 'eventually' change how the marriage system works.

So translation: "You're not playing right, guys but since it's making us money we're not going to change it until either money stops coming in or more people get pissed off."

Exactly this. Plus, they're battling RMT with their own version. Touché, SE.

Unless said exploits have extreme consequences/advantages, lingering issues are usually fixed on the next patch. There was a few occasions where Square held a quick maintenance to fix broken AI on some quests.
