Any images of the new Relic weapons yet?

Yes I know it is early, but people had the Nexus images with in the first 6 hours of the patch notes, not even when the game was able to be played. (model ripping etc).

The only one I know the image of is the Excalibur from a month or 2 ago

Closest I think you'll currently get is the item database on Lodestone.

Here's Last Resort, for example. Which is making me regretting not finishing my Omnilex and opting for Yoshimitsu instead...

they look okay...

the axe is amazing. the bow actually looks like a bow, bar the gilded hunk on the top part (wouldn't too terribly conflict with actual firing.). i love the look of longinus. excalibur could have been better, aegis however is good.

the fact they are dyeable is even better.

I actually think that bow looks great. I kinda want to see what it looks like with different dyes.

Is it just me, or do the DRG spear look shorter than the staff that mages have?

For once, I am super happy about the Scholar weapon. Really nice =)

Why is it that the only good looking weapon is excalibur? SE must not even be trying any more.

For the most part I think that they look pretty cool, some moreso than others.
What I'm really curious about is what parts of them are affected when dyed.

I don't see any secondaries listed on the Lodestone for these weapons. Hopefully that means they will carry over the stats (very expensively) melded from Novus. I was afraid secondaries would be reset when they announced new relic weapons would be released.

Sigh, I still think Excalibur looks like crap. My only hope was the shield might actually look halfway decent, but nope. It's like, "oh look, more over the top ornate crap that looks like something some douche bag Korean game designer would make." Really SE? Really? Sigh, seriously is the guy who makes this stuff on drugs?

Everyone is free to have their opinion on something as subjective as how something looks, but honestly "over-the-top ornate crap" has always kind of been a staple of the Final Fantasy series.
So, while to you it looks bad, to me it looks very fitting for the game and the general aesthetic of a Final Fantasy title.

p.s. Game designers almost never design the looks of things like equipment, they design things like gameplay and story. Things like the look of environments, characters, equipment, etc. are determined by the art department for the most part.

Indeed I understand that, but if you really think this stuff is the best they can do then your tastes come up short. Not trying to be a brat about it (I'm really not), but it's just that they can do a lot better. Sorry but it's crap.

Like I said, not out to be a jerk about it, and yeah you are indeed entitled to that view, but seriously the concepts for alot of these items were probably made in about 10-15 minutes then rubber stamped. Again, sorry not trying to be a schmuck about it.

All I can say is wow. I have 2 Nexus weapons (Stardust Rod and Artemis Bow) and collecting light for a 3rd (Bravura Axe). I'll have to decide which one I'm doing now. I think the Bow looks amazing although my main is BLM so I suspect that is the one I'll be running for the new upgrade.

Curious where you are in your relic quest and I would suspect a lot more thought went into the process than 10 to 15 minutes. You don't appear to care for them but I will say that most of my friends are working on relics in various stages now with a number of them with Nexus. We had a ball this afternoon spamming Haukke HM looking for a drop.

The relics have been a fun part of my experience although they certainly keep me busy.

I love both the name and appearance of the summoner relic. Apocalypse! I even like the default color. Ragnarok is cool too. I've already got Bravura Atma so depending on how much I can deal with the grind, I may go for it.

I wonder how they will look like with Red/Green/Blue metallic colors.
