Been there done that.
some people will be kicking themselves for turning in their old i90 myth gear for GC seals if this becomes a thing in heavensward for AF2.
Some people can't get enough grinding huh?
The myth armor wasn't artifact though. They were reproductions of the "long-lost" artifact armors to be used in the modern day. This is why they weren't as discolored and had better stats (no decay due to age). All of the stuff sold at Rowena's were reproductions or recreations at some point, including the Darklight set which was modeled off of the gear the Darklight Raiders wore before they tragically died.
DO you really want to the books for each set, then meld it with the optimal materias for the bis stats, then grind out lights till your eyes bleed?
It would be much easier if SE allowed us to put materia on it. AF is only meant as an introductory to endgame armor so I doubt they will go any farther than just giving the AF2's and augmentation to dye it.
Who says the grind has to be per piece or the process equally time consuming as the weapons?http://i.imgur.com/V3OHQVQ.png
Curtana + Holy Shield isn't twice as difficult to obtain as the other items because it's two pieces, is it?
SE will do this to create a time sink. I also know they will do this because they don't support multi job play despite their claims to the armory system. The relics aren't hard (after the original questline) but instead time consuming. Atmas, the Animus books, Alexanderites and the Nexus were all very easy and only required you to do what you already do, run dungeons, do fates and get materias. It was just very time consuming, especially the books and the fates in some of them.
Plus idk if you know but SE is a massive troll lol

They announced it OCT 2013 in a live letter
You know that why?
The armor is very similar to AF1, sure changed a lot...
Read the Text, it is AF2 and with release of Heavensward Trailer we know the realse of them -> 3.0
You clearly can identify the dragoon armor in the trailer!
No one knows yet how to get it...
Edit:
Currently we just have AF 1 ingame, AF 1,5 is the same but with other colors and better stats.
