Openworld pvp is the greatest source of excitement in mmorpgs. Imagine killing all those botters, FATE grinders and plain whiners!!!

Many people still need to level or grind for ATMA. I'm sure they'll find it <sarcasm>fun</sarcasm> to have their progress interrupted for no good reason other than because some other person feels like it.
Now if you had suggested a PVP map, which would only have pvp-related quests, pvp-related vendors, and any gathering nodes would not be unique (which means a pve-er could still stick to a regular PVE map) THEN maybe I'd agree. -

People could no longer even farm for mats without fear of being stabbed in the back, because the gear you wear while gathering isn't suited for any sort of combat. Open world pvp doesn't make sense for a game like this unless it's placed in only certain pvp revolving zones.Quote:

I most certainly don't miss all the games I've played before where I had to constantly worry if people were going to come down and ruin my fun (especially those who would stay to wait for a player to revive and spawn kill). If you're an open world pvp-type, then I'm not just scared. I'm terrified - not so much of being killed - but of having my precious time and sub money being wasted constantly rezzing and walking back to where I'm trying to go.Quote:

open world PvP is just like a pain in the ass. Jobs/classes/races/whatever are NEVER made for 1v1 and it's always "the one with best gear wins, except if the other one has friends hidden for noobish ganks". Oh and it always ends in "OK let's ravage low level areas so the other side can't have new players, it will be fun" (hint : it's not. Neither for you nor for them)
The only open world PvP worth mentioning is the one where you can ACTIVATE it ONLY if you want. But guess what ? People never activate it then because that mode sucks. -

humm i like the pvp but open world pvp is just a mess, it's not realy pvp it's just for pk who want to troll others...
A duel feature would be fun for some players want to do some duel for fun.
But open world pvp... what is the fun to be take at the back from any player ?
only trolls with no respect of the others players love the open world pvp...
also i would not name it open world pvp but open world pk -
12-04-2014, 12:29 PMBLaCKnBLu3B3RRYit would be cool. but obviously shouldn't be able to PK any non-combat classes. should be a character level restriction. like can't attack someone more then 5 level below you. and there also should be a toggle. no one should be forced in to a state of PvP. if there is a toggle, i don't see how it could possibly harm anyone. don't want to be ganked? toggle it off. of course a delay should be added so you can't toggle off immediately after toggling on.Quote:
