I shouldn't have to pay to get married!

In the state of Ohio, it costs $40 to get a marriage license! And let's not forget the cost of the wedding, the US average is $25,200! And then the honeymoon! So much!

Can I get an in-game wedding that is a legal binding marriage? Not like we have any RL people we know!

I think they charge you because of the minion and the mount that comes with it...

There is a free wedding and then the pay ones that get you a mount and pet dress and such. so no ones making you pay anything unless you want the fluff :p

I did read the OP. They want to get legally married through the game, but they're taking a jab at the Gold Plan in doing so.

Mostly because english is not my first language. The title of the thread is a bit misleading compared to the content, and the the first statement might be interpreted like "If I pay in real life for a legal binding marriage, as I pay in-game, I'm asking to make it legal as well", that's why I replied that the charges come from the items, not the marriage licence. Now, instead of acting like a smartass, you guys should help to clarify if someone made a mistake while interpreting said stuff.

If you don't have any IRL friends, why would it cost $25 000? I'm not from US, and frankly, those wedding costs are just stupid...

I do believe his goal was to be misleading.
Taking advantage of the drama for a quick laugh. I was caught off guard for a bit too. All in good fun.

They are trying to simulate real life that's why you gotta shed some money :D

EDIT: And thus, I agree with OP, they should make it legally binding as well lmao.

You never know some people may use FF14 wedding instead of paying for a actual wedding like people were doing for playstation home. Its a lot cheaper and legal.
