2.45 Speculation

What do you think will come this update coming December in 2.45?

Weddings has been confirmed.
Relic next stage?
Crystal tower final stage?
Ability to get items to upgrade the iron works gear to 130 with means other then coil?

I think we are most likely to see some re-tooling on DRG, new Relic step (2nd to last), possibly some hunt adjustments to make them more relevant again.

I foresee something that will bring my chocobo to the deserving glory of the name chocobooooo! For far too long we've seen our chocobos reduced to aoe magnets and subpar support rolers. Our chocobos have saved us from death and snail pace exploration for years, in some cases many moons and years!!

Save my chocobo from the disgrace and embarrassment he has had to live with for months now. Save my chocobo from going to that stable at night and asking himself "Could I have done more out there?!!" I feel horrible for my ever faithful companion and transport!!!

GIVE MY CHOCOBO SOME DIGNITY!!! I....I love him so :(

i hope this is not the final stage of the relic :(

Something tells me we won't see the final stage of the relic quest for a very long time. At the earliest, I'd say 3.0. At the latest, I'd say it will never end.

most likley it will be as they most likley will be implementing a whole new questline in 3.0

that date can almost ONLY be December 16. By that quote did he actually tell us the patch date?

I'm hoping for some dragoon retooling being brought with 2.45, along with the marriage system. I've about got to the point I'm ready to hang up my dragoon in favor of ninja simply because of how disadvantaged they are compared to basically every other melee dps.

Crystal Tower won't be coming until 2.5 though I'm sure, at least. And that's fine for me, I still have to farm my last dragoon piece and all of my ninja gear from ST, so the wait for the final CT raid doesn't bother me. >.>

A change I'd LIKE to see, but likely won't happen, is an expansion to the amount of content that provides Allied Seals. It'd be nice to get a small amount for doing Guildhests and low-level dungeon roulettes...

This! Anything else besides hunts.

2.45 will remove the weekly lockout to Final Coil and replace it with a loot lockout to encourage more participation, iirc.

Also, some items that got accidentally added to the 2.4 patch notes will be added now. Maybe that means the new metallic color dyes?

I'm pretty sure they have already said that the next stage will be the last. I know Yoshi P mentioned a while back that the final version of the paladin weapon would be excalibur, and it seems that this will be the name of the next upgrade to the weapon.

I think they do class/job balancing in the main patches. So, they would do this in 2.5

We need Dragoon buffs in 2.45, we need them desperately.

It's likely to be the final stage or at least the stage where the relic weapon will change it's hugely hinted in the letter screeshot.

Final Stage, before 3.0 at least will probably be iLevel 135, this will most likely be iLevel 120, so maybe 1 or 2 more stages before the expansion.

Pretty sure 3.0 will bring a brand new relic quest that starts over from scratch. I imagine this relic quest line will end late in the 2.5 series, 2.55 or something like that.
