Getting the gear is unrealistic

Queue 30 mins
Fight for 1 min
Get 130 marks
repeat

When I need like 50k+ marks for a armour set, that just isn't really possible. Works out something like over 200 hours queuing. And when you're in a queue you're pretty much locked out of anything else interesting in the game

Unfortunately, Wolves' Den is more or less dead. Have you tried your Mark farming in Frontlines? You get 300 a game, there...for a loss. And the queues are much, much better than Wolves' Den on pretty much every server.

Though I still wouldn't pass up something like a reward multiplier based on queue time...

I've tried queuing for frontlines but even as tank/healer it still says "expected time 30m+". So yeah, thats just as bad

FL has no job priority for queue; your time will be the same no matter what you go as.

If your times are awful, consider switching GCs because evidently the PvP community in your current GC on your data center is dead. Ask around which is best between Adders/Flames/Mael.

I'm maelstrom and yes it is the least used I think, but wouldn't that mean I get in faster because I'm needed more? Just like how tank/healer insta queue dungeons

Frontlines queues tend to have an initial hump where you're queuing while a game is going on, so you have a longer queue. Once you're in a game and you queue right after, queue tends to take minutes at the most, even if it says more than 30m. At least, that's my experience with it.

Frontlines is the way to go. I went from Rank 14-22 and could afford an entire left side set -or so- of the I100 stuff for Glamour.

Its really not hard to get gear in FL. You can get enough marks for Body, Pants, or Weapon a matter of days, if not just one full day, if you que frontlines consistantly. Compared to PVE thats realy fast when you are locked into 1 peice of gear per week for the end game content.

That's one of the things I like about FL (beyond the battle itself when I'm with the right party of course)- earning currency towards three separate pools of gear at the same time, people are freaking nuts running the same dungeons over and over instead of this unless they don't enjoy it at all. And no weekly cap on Wolfmarks is awesome, I even picked up an i90 weapon for my retainer yesterday since Direwolf has no more rank restriction.

Thats the way to go. After a frontline game ends, dont just play something else. Queue again for frontlines asap. Besides that, only queue for english language in frontlines. These two things can speed it up by a lot.

Why just english? Searching for other languages broadens your possibilities right?

Yes, but unfortunately not in a good way. It broadens the possibility of being matched up with a tiny number of people who queued under something other than E and then you have to wait forever for enough people to do the same to get enough people in all GC's to compete. A group from my LS was in queue and got a long wait estimate which we never do nights or weekends and after requeueing under E we popped instantly.

You misunderstood. The advice was to queue for the other languages in addition English. Not queue for the other languages only.

Actually, I think you may have misunderstood Buff_Archer. Not sure if it's 100% true, but there's word going around (and has been for a month or two) that queueing for multiple languages occasionally causes you to get stuck in a queue specifically for one language, despite having them all selected, which, in the case of FL/WD, may result in a queue that'll NEVER pop. I'm not sure of the logic behind it or if it's even true, but my own personal luck with PvP queues increased noticeably when I started to ONLY queue for English. It may just be oddly lopsided coincidence, but it's enough to make me believe it.

Yes, I firmly believe that. My adder premade teams get as close to insta-queue privileges as it gets during prime time (being an underdog GC on server) and if we ever get a long time estimate it's because whoever registered chose all languages. We've unregistered right away, chose E, and went right in. I didn't come up with theory but I believe it, and I think it's easier for the less-full GC's to verify since a party of several of us queueing at once is what it can take sometimes for the match to fill enough to get started (since there's already enough Maelstroms sitting around waiting for us <evil laugh>).

Update- someone who's primary language is NOT E can verify inverse by queueing under that language alone and not choosing E. I'd just make sure you have a good book handy or beast tribe quests to do etc.
