Idea for "New" Second Coil

After view the changes introduced in patch 2.41 to Second Coil, it seems a bit pathetic.

This new second coil mustn't unlock the Second Coil achievements... because it have any kind of difficult kill the "New" Rafflesia... or the "New" Melusine" or the "New" The Avatar. And loot with this difficult must be reduced... I can't understand why now all people can access easly to HA gear.

So an easy solution for this could be:

* Introduce on Duty Finder: Second Coil of Bahamuth (Legacy)
* Second Coil of Bahamuth (Legacy) must be the only way to obtain achievements
* Second Coil of Bahamuth (Legacy) must has the same loot that it SCoB has.
* Second Coil of Bahamuth (Easy) never must unlock achievements
* Second Coil of Bahamuth (Easy) must only drop 1 or 2 two random items of the original turn loot table.
* Second Coil of Bahamuth (Easy) must don't have Turn 9... or any kind of nerfed Turn 9... just Echo buff in T9 is enough. It doesn't need any kind of mechanics adjustment.

No need for new second coil, you had second coil for 9 months at it's pre-nerf status, you had savage mode and also have now final coil added since then which has not been nerfed and even some old second coil turns haven't had much in the way of nerfing like T9 for example. SE did the right thing now that second coil normal has become very old content, opening it up to DF and by proxy needed to nerf it given it is a hundred times harder to complete them with random people cross servers not part or a static of PF. There is nothing pathetic in what SE have done to second coil normal but it is quite pathetic how some people cannot get over what has been done and done for good reason.

It is a bit disappointing that some people can't experience the pre-nerf fights, which I was lucky to be able to clear t6-8 before nerf.

But 110 gear is the past, I don't see why it is a problem to make it more accessible for people, it was exactly like the 90 gear from first coil.
Soldiery/ST is also unlocked making it easy to get 110 gear anyways.

That's honestly pretty self entitled. This happened with first coil, then second coil, and it will eventually happen to final coil.
The dungeon will become irrelevant, the drops useless, and it will be nerfed accordingly, and people will complain about it. When end-game content is no longer end-game, it becomes nerfed and is no longer there for the hard core players, it's for the other players to catch up and experience what others did because that's kind of how MMOs work, because you don't get a stranglehold on content and the definition of "end-game" changes every six months here.

But now there's now way to try the legacy SCoB for new players... now the only SCoB is Nerfed SCoB and Savage SCoB... and difficult diference is too high.

I posted in another thread that in the future, they should add a prenerf version at the same time as the nerf version. Legacy version, as it's been named in this thread should have ilevel sync with old mechanics. I think it's the best of both worlds. I hope that happens in the future. I'd also like to see Binding Coil get a savage mode.

Normal Mode SCoB, yea I tried that once and I died, so I cried. Good thing too coz now it's ALL easy and stuff. Now I can just show up and get insta win.

Feel sorry for those sukkers that got to run it for like nine months un-easied, and got to have the best raid loot first, tomestones and oil and sands first. And now they ONLY have FCoB to run, only. They should be allowed to run content that they beat and farmed still. COz now that it's "nerfed" they can't go in I guess...for whatever reasons.

Old content gets nerfed so that the new population can move on to new content. HA great is relegated to glamour fodder the moment people get poetics or dreadwyrm to fill the slots with. This is the gear treadmill. If you didn't get to experience the old scob it's not like you can't still compete the turn in the same manner as those who world firsted, put on i90 gear shut off echo and deal with mechanics instead of ignoring them like people are doing with blighted. However, if you're seriously complaining because your bright and shiny HA great doesn't make you a special snowflake then you should reevaluate your decision to put time into mmo raid progression.

Please nerf t5 i need my allagan weapon for t6 (normal)

The Binding Coil of Bahamut (Story mode) (T1 to T13)

No achievements, no titles or rewards

1 man instance

and leave the savage mode for those who want a challenge

Old content, old gear. Now stop cry like a little baby. Lesser players should also get to play through the game.

I'm all for a "Legacy" or "Classic" queue so that the original Coil fights aren't lost, but demanding players get no achievements (seriously, achievements?) for completing normal mode Turns and reduced loot rewards for loot that is...already on the verge of being outdated is kind of pathetic.

Poetics exists now. With every week that passes, another piece of HA becomes obsolete catch-up gear. Why worry over it?

It's actually kind of a shame that they'll be obsolete so fast, actually, because the nerfed versions are frankly good learning tools for pug players who don't have the opportunity to yet play with statics. Contrary to popular belief, you can't simply ignore the mechanics of the fights without a hyper-geared farm group doing abnormal tactics or someone carrying exceptionally hard.

Must be a new player who joined post 2.2 XD.

ADS paralyze was changed to be cleansable. Besides this 1st coil didn't have many 1 shot mechanics or opportunities for bad phase pushes, it was mostly a dps check for the first 4 turns and that is solved by including echo.

For 2nd coil they made similar changes, just because of how the fights work they had alot more to do nerfing those one shot mechanics/phase push "penalties"... ^^
