Please consider adding alternative ways to get Nexus lights.

First of all, sorry for my english. It is not my native language. I hope that ppl will hear and understand my cryout.
Now to the topic: i would really like to see an alternative way to get Nexus light. I have 3 Novus weapons ( yah i had no life for some periond of time). I didnt get into Nexus farm bandwagon after patch. Now i`m pretty much gated to about 14-16 lights per day ( expert roulette, hard roulette and trial roulette) so it will take about 1 year to get my 3 Nexuses.
Can SE plz consider adding some kind of consumable item that can be purchased via tokens (GC seals, Allied seals, Soldiery, anything) that gives light progression, repeatable quest, anything.
For Novus stage we had repeatable quest and hunts, so if you were willing to get hardcore on progression, you could really do it.

As for light farm there are several gates that limit your progression:
*First of all - solo content ( maps and fates) gives little to no progression (2000 fates and 1000 maps anyone?);
* your class - dps classes having hard times in DF queues;
* light farm parties do not show in PF anymore - most ppl got their Nexuses in Nexus farm bandwagon.
* group light farm is not so flexible comparing to hunts mechanic, cause you tied to
light or full party setup.
You could spend 2 hours hunting and get about 3 alexandrites (1/25 progress to Novus), as for Nexus stage: you spend 10 minutes in qeue 20 minutes in dungeon and get 6 light in the end. Same 2 hr gives you approx 1/85 progress to Nexus. Does this difficulty gap really should be so big?
I`m getting really overwhelmed byt the amount of time i would need to get my 3 Novuses to next stage. I would say more - i feel really punished for getting 3 Novus weapons.

There may not be Duty Finder parties for Nexus farming as much anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't make them, or just pop into Duty Finder manually for that content - inevitably there will still be people jumping into them when the windows are ideal.

This seems to suggest that you only get light from the roulettes, or only once per day, but you can run as many dungeons as you would like per day and get light rewarded for every one. Except for time, there is no limit to how much light you can get.

You don't need a farming party to farm light. There is a googledoc file which shows you all open windows. You can DF for the open window and it will be a fast pop, even if you are a DPS. If Garuda is open you won't have to wait at all, its an instant pop.

I think the farm is allright.
My only issue is that whenever I do any content as another class than my main I feel like im missing out on light, but I can't stand doing dungeons as a healer. Regen and /afk is all thats needed

I don't get it. You get light from basically doing everything.
Treasure maps? (or at least Alex maps) LIGHT
FATEs? Light!
Dungeons? Light!
Raids? Light!
Trials? Light!
Just pick something and do it. Technically they do offer "consumables" that give light because everything in the game that could possibly pose a challenge to you (except hunts) gives you light.

The light that stuff gives is shit. You need to aim for bright. Just playing your game casually and doing your usual thing won't get you your nexus. You won't get it without tons of farming.

Now that Second Coil is nerfed I might set up a T6 Nexus farm party. I think it's always Blinding light there, and it should be easy as pie for everybody now.

Not true. Just by having my Novus equipped while playing the game got me to about 700 Light, without even trying, decided to farm it afterwards in-case there was a relic upgrade in 2.4, fortunately there wsan't.

That's weird. To get 700 light you need to do either Fates 700 or run ST 60 times. Or spam dungeons alot. But even then, 700 isn't even the half of whats needed. Maybe we just have different playstyles. But personally, I have no reason whatsoever to spam fates, ST or dungeons over and over again.

I was in duty finder que for trial roulette for a max of 5 minutes all night yesterday. Just keep doing trial roulette for an hour or 2 a night and the lights will add up.

Really? Why am I not surprised that the whining didn't stop after the atma nerf?

I think people will be happy only when they get the full nexus with a nice bow around it placed in a chest right next to the Aetheryte in one of the main cities once they ping 50.
And then they will still whine that it is too difficult or too time consuming because nobody tells them which of the three cities it will be and they have to waste money to port to each of them to take a look.
How does SE dare to actually make you work for something in this game....

Seconded. I actually farmed around 600 lights only by doing Frontlines (I think I got to rank 32 by that). After that I've also tried to do a few runs of current bonus trial whenever I feel like it. I'm currently missing under 200, and using Novus for expert and other dungeon runs (but not Coil or newest extremes). I don't feel like changes are needed.

You missed point that i have 3 Novus weapons. Im pretty ok to farm via DF/fates/dungeons etc. for first Nexus but the other 2? I feel like i wasn`t rewarded for building 3 Novus weapons, i was punished by 6 month grind.

You should do what most of us are doing. Figure out bonus on trials and just queue up for that one til bonus runs out. I think I got 50 lights or so in an hour and could probably do even better if I didnt fall into a party of 6 new ppl, wiping at garuda HM haha.

So one hour and 50 lights isnt that bad imo.

Nobody who farm light (even as casual) do it only with FATE or ST.
There are enough other content most people do daily that also give light

For Novus stage we had repeatable quest and hunts, so if you were willing to get hardcore on progression, you could really do it.

Why are you gated to 14-16 light per day, is it a time issue or that you just don't want to do dungeons/trials without the soldiery bonus?

Don't underestimate maps, 1-2 light at a time can build up. I save up my maps, then do some runs with my FC. An hour long map hunt gets 20-30 light easily.

Your reward for building three novus weapons is three novus weapons. If you also want three nexus weapons, it will require a massive amount of play time. If you don't think that's a good deal, I suggest you don't aim for three. The game isn't decieding that you get months of grinding, that's all you.

If you dont like to grind for nexus then get a soldiery weapon, its enough to do any content this game has these days anyway.

In the end it will get nerfed like the atma drop ratio was so if you wait long enough....

Just increase the amount of Light about 50%.

Lol? I got mine in about three weeks just by doing my daily roulettes, alex/peiste maps, ST, and occasionally farming HM primals for things to desynth. There was some random FATE grinding in there as well (accompanying friends that were hunting Atmas in zones that I already had Atmas from), helping people with relic quests, that kind of thing. Nexus is quite literally the easiest stage of the relic to be implemented to date.

Do T4 farming, especially if it's in bonus. Tons of people are farming it for crafting mats/desynth fodder so it's a really fast queue even for DPS. When I queue on BLM with a friend (also BLM) we generally get in inside of 3-5 minutes. You can tear the dungeon apart in just a few minutes even without the party being full of Novus wielders.

I went on a mindless light farm this weekend to finsh up my Nexus. Before that I hardly farmed, just raids, some EX primal farms and expert. Keep in mind I did not have my sch Novus when Nexus was introduced and I even lost part of my light since I redid my stats. System is good as it is now, but Im sure it will be buffed in a few months, just like all content in this game.
