They are up.
Among other things: Second Coil added to the Duty Finder, 10% Echo to Second Coil, mechanic nerfs to T6-8, can no longer get your job before completing the Lv 20 main story quest, ROG/NIN icons are easier to see, etc.

"An issue during the first boss battle in Snowcloak wherein the Frozen debuff would apply even when taking preventative measures during the action Snow Drift."
Do hope this is noticeable, was annoying running back and forth while trying to fight and still getting hit with debuff when you're pretty certain you were moving at the right time lol
And me and my friends were still joking about how they'd probably nerf blighted...
"Damage dealt by Blighted bouquet reduced*
So it no longer one hit kills?
Awww I actually liked that mechanic. It was an interesting one.
"Players will no longer receive a damage vulnerability debuff"
No more Tank Swaps?
Raffy might as well be a Tank and Spank then. Dunno how the others will be. *hasn't gotten that far*
Glad they didn't nerf T9. xD
those hellish 2nd coil nerfs
And so the whiners win again and Second Coil mechanics are nerfed. At least T9 is still in-tact, -for now-.
And because I know someone is going to call me some elitist trying to preserve my special snowflake status or w/e, let me just preempt you by saying that's not the case. Fights in this game do not become mechanically easier as you progress, they become mechanically harder. If you can't deal with the mechanics in T6-8 there is very little probability you're going to be able to handle the mechanics in T9, let alone Final Coil. Mechanics compromise more of the actually "Fights" in this game than knowing your class/rotation does, this is why I don't have a problem with echo because you will always have the opportunity to understand or learn your optimal rotation/cooldown usage. By nerfing the mechanics you are basically moving people into content that they don't have the ability to execute, and thus you move the complaints about content into the newest set of content rather than leaving people to figure out content that they deserve to be in still. Not everyone HAS to be in Final Coil, some people still need to learn how to deal with the more complex mechanics of T7-8 before they -deserve- to be able to move on to the latest content (6 was zergable even before these changes, so that makes it even more laughable). There's nothing elitist about that, it's just a reality that people are being advanced into content they have no business challenging just because they're upset about being left behind in content that is only ONE MAIN PATCH CYCLE OLD.
Hm, I might hop into DF Second Coil sometime to see these changes in action. *famous last words*
I do love how Turn 9 was left untouched mechanics-wise (there will be the Echo, of course).
But...but where are the things for people to complain about...?
I'm just glad they didn't nerf turn 9. Hope my static decides to do it without echo since we are close to clearing though.
If anyone is upset that Second Coil is now allowing more people to get through easier, you should remember that Savage mode is still there for you.
Seems like they focused on nerfing 6 and 7 whilst providing some space for error on 8. I'm expecting them to further nerf actual t8 mechanics along with t9 and the obligatory echo buff next time around.
I severely dislike the nerf to the bees in T6...
Now me going " NO! NOT THE BEES!!!!!" when I get honey-glazed is totally unjustified...
Why did they make T6 even more easier than T5? You can literally just burn the entire fight now going by the notes, and stopping for nothing besides the 1-2 devours you get.
T7 changes I'm ok with since it was always a messy fight for phase pushing, even though it could have been handled more eloquently. The difficulty curve leading up to the unaffected T9 just got completely wrecked though.
wow....what a nerf D: those one hit mechanics are actually super fun and brought many tears and laughters....ah well~ the others gotta catch up somehow right? give them the old carrot and dangle a new and better carrot infront of them (FcoB)
T6 was already on Farm mode so they didn't really have to nerf it beyond the 10% echo. T7 will feel like a whole new turn, but hopefully the nerf will make it less annoying to pug. They didn't change much with T8 really which is good. T9 is still mechanically the same.
I mean for me at least, it will make it less annoying to pug these turns as that's what I mostly did. If you have a group of dedicated little raiders you're better off just beating T9 and progressing towards Final Coil instead of trying to relive your glory days in turns 6-8.
I mean, I agree to an extent. However, Second coil of Bahamut is there to prep you for Final Coil of Bahamut. I've not set foot it FcoB yet, but I'm pretty sure it will also have its lions share of one shot mechanics. But this will definitely push more people into ScoB which I guess will make it easier to find groups and friends that share the same interest.
All I have to say about people whining about nerfs
AHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!
I welcome the nerfs to T7, especially that 60 seconds of stone on Renaulds since timing voice/shrieks becomes increasingly difficult as everyone becomes stronger.
It didn't make sense (at least to me) that farming T9 was easier than T7. :/
I glad they didnt nerf t9 besides the echo. I am still trying to beat it and I would rather it not be really easy.
What a boring patch. Next.
I survived to Blighted as a Warrior once.
I was stoneskined, had just used Inner Beast and Mercy Stroke on the bee (or was it a bulb?) and it healed me for a few hundreds HP.
I'm not really sure what saved me but I survived with 400 HP. I have video as proof on my ps4 XD
But yeah... It's kinda sad they nerfed some of the best mechanics.
Only mechanic I wouldn't mind seeing nerfed on t9 is the boss recovering HP when it hits someone with Lunar Dynamo.
One shotting the person (or almost that) isn't enough already, boss HAS to recover HP as well!! WTF
Well, glad I was able to clear t6-8 already, still working on 9
Yeah, it hits for around 10k'ish dmg prior to 2.41's nerf.
Only hits for around 4k dmg (modern gear nets you 5k+ easily), and the fight is so scripted you shouldn't be getting hit by it at all.Quote:

I feel bad for anyone who still winds up wiping to t6 or t7. Especially t7, which is piss easy now. At least the entire party can still get eaten by Raff and give her a +8 buff for t6.
Nael did this in 1.0 as well, so I don't think they'd remove such an homage.
They tend to remove insta-kill mechanics. In T9 this may be Binding Chains, Heavensfall (direct landing on you damage), and Garrote stacks.
Not that I'd welcome any changes to these, mind you.
When T6 till T9 where released....
Softcore players: WTF are all these mechanics and 1 hit kills??
Hardcore players: Quit whining in the forums and you might clear it.
Now.....
Hardcore players: The whiners win again.. WTF are these nerfs!
Softcore players: Quit whining you got savage coil right.
The circle of whine never ends.....
Meanwhile Generic players are like...
First time T6 ti T9 released
Generic players: O dear me.. are these instant death and mechanics. Better luck next time.
Now
Generic player: O look nerfs. Let go try it again.
Orly, I wonder if every new fight was harder than the previous, wouldn't they reach a limit? Wouldn't they reach a point where the skill required would be too high? People kept saying the same even about trials but each trial has its own difficutly level not related to the previous, it's not much different here, I bet if you asked around you will get different opinions on which was the easiest and hardest turn.
And yes, you are just trying to preserve your special snowflake status, denial wont hide that.
At least people will be able to farm it faster to gear alts.
So Titan and Garu EX still have 1 shot mechanics and tank swapping while T6 doesn't?
Am I understanding this right?
I'm softcore and I don't really see how that makes sense.
T9 shows you ahead of time where they'll be diving in from so you can prepare for it. T5 is just whichever spot is closest to the target, and then does it three times in a row to randomly picked targets with a shorter time frame to get away in comparison to T9.
Death wall is a mechanic at any rate since you're supposed to avoid hitting it, and divebombs have the added large knockback effect to drill that into your head. The pit just ended up being ideal since it removes the need to check for Twin and dodge to the side of wherever he's pointing at.
People who had trouble with twisters and divebombs in T5 are going to be in for a shock when they try to do T9 in the duty finder. In the coming days a bunch of T9 is too hard topics.
I'm not a huge fan of instant kill mechanics in the first place. I think they should be punishing, but not crippling.
At least I feel that way about instant kills in non-endgame fights. In the true badass boss fights at the ends of coils or tops of towers or whatever, yes. Instant kill mechanics. The bosses leading up to those badass fights should have lower-level versions of those mechanics that are less punishing, in order to prep you for the instant-kills in the final bosses.
I've done t6, and honestly the instant-kill bouquet was never something I particularly worried about... Except when it happened to me randomly when I literally wasn't doing anything at all. Or if I wasn't paying attention. :P Anyway, I think it's a good idea to "Dumb this down". As for the nerf in t7, I'm fine with petrification no longer one-shotting you (For already stated reasons) but the rest seems like kind of a cop-out. I've never made attempts on 8 so I can't comment on that.
