Yes, drop rate per ATMA is roughly 10% or higher.
I got 7 atma in about 3-4 hours. (I already had the rest from farming before the patch) So yeah, I'd say its way easier. of those 7 only two of them took me an hour to get, I found when it took longer than 30mins to get one, logging out and back in, and then doing more FATE's they dropped within 10 minutes. Can't say for sure logging out and in solved the problem, but it was worth a shot :P
Yes it's easier, also don't forget some people (not I) collected atma's in prep for the ninja to drop.
For me the increased drop rate actually caused me to collect a full set.
Yeah. I farmed all 12 for my Bravura in two days.
got all atma for my ninja in less than 3h. :)
RNG will always make your mileage vary, but I completed my Atma in two play sessions, at less than 2h each.
Much easier.
Before 2.4, I spent around 3 months on Atma. Now? I got 10 in around 10 hours of FATE grinding.
I did a little Atma hunting on Saturday, and got nothing. But, then yesterday I got 6 of them. I'm hoping I can get the other 6 tonight.
I collected all 12 again. I spent no more than 30 or 40 minutes on each atma.
Majority of them dropped the first or second fate. What took the longest was WAITING for fates to pop. Lol
Does anybody actually think that the drop rate should be lower than it is currently?
Atma weapons don't improve stats at all and the stats on them are a full 45 ilevels behind (stat wise) the current best in slot weapons.
In my opinion they should nerf the animus stage too and at least give people some sort of incentive to really work on getting these. As it stands the weapons are only 3rd/4th bis when fully upgraded, not worth the time and effort in my opinion unless you just want a pretty glamour.
Post 2.4 I farmed 8 atma, 2 of them took around 2-3 hrs each, the others all took about 10-30 minutes each.
Why should the Atma drop rate be lowered again?
I think he means even higher.
And yes, I have thought about it. Especially, as I am now wanting to make BLM my main DPS and want to work on the Stardust Rod. But, the insane amount of work to put in to eventually get an i115 weapon. However, on the flip side, not sure when I will beat T9, and if I do, if the HA staff would drop for me.
Some people having Ninja Nexus alread doesn't really mean Atma would be easier to obtain, many people already had the atmas and alexandrites collected before the patch hit, leaving only the books and lights to do.
But yes, the drop rates are significantly higher.
It took me 3 months and over 100 hours of farming Atmas to get my first weapon. After the patch I decided to test out the new drop rates. I farmed up TWO Atma sets in about 2 weeks through very casual play. The Atmas would drop at a rate of about 20%, with most dropping in 1 - 5 FATEs, and occasionally taking 10, 15, 20 to get.
Atmas drop WAY more frequently, and I plan on getting all my Relics an Atma set now.
I'd say the drops are way more reasonable now for sure. went from 180 hours to get only 2 atma (prepatch) to like maybe 11 to get the other 10 (post patch).
Took me 4 hours to get all of them. I had a few first-fate drops.
Easier for sure yes however you can still get bad stretches of RNG where you are in the same zone for over 8 hours. Happened to me twice on 2 different atmas when I was doing a 2nd weapon, but the rest of them were rather quick.
Buff up alexandrite drop rates please
Yes it is easy. I helped my friend get her atma in every zone in the course of about 6 hours.. In the end, after only worrying about her count, I had at least 8/12 from JUST HELPING.
Was helping a Fc member get atmas one day. I needed two sets for bard and dragoon weapon. He got 5 atmas on 1st fate in different zones while I got none. At camp bronze lake he couldn't get one while I got three in a row.
Yeah, the Bronze Lake area's been consistently stubborn for me. Was stuck there for two days earlier before i got it. I still don't know why I leave Outer and Upper La Noscea for my last areas every time XD
I tend to call it SAAS "Stubborn ATMA Area Syndrome" :3
(And yes, I know it's nothing against the SAAS people had before the patch ^^ I had it, too. I'd more or less given up after only getting THREE atmas since they were implemented. I'm just glad I have a chance to catch up on it now :3)
Fore most of the I got in less than 5-15 mins. Others took about 30m to an hr+
Either way its doable with a day or two while waiting on queue. It's almost fun
I got my last 6 tonight.
There's still a lot of rng though. I'm trying to get the atmas for my femRoe alt and today I spent an hour in Central Shroud before it dropped. Then I went to North Shroud and the atma of the Archer dropped from literally the first Fate I did.
Extremely easy. I'd been queuing for whatever in DF and running around doing FATEs while I wait, but it's gotten to the point where I stopped because I'm getting this big old pile of atma clogging a retainer that I don't even know when/if I'll use.
Got all 12 in exactly 86 FATEs, my first set took about 600 FATEs, to give an idea
I was able to farm all my atma for 2 relics and then some (5/12) for later to make a third one a little faster (when I get another lv50 job). However there were ~ 4 of them that almost took a couple hours to get 1 to drop and some were kind of quick.. Before that I was lucky to get the one I did get first. Also to note the whole clock/server time theory is kind of out the window by the rate I was farming two sets. But I did spend ~ 8 hours fate farming for multiples, with Bull, Goat and Lion being a royal pain. Then I had to spend 4 more hours farming an extra pair of those three the next day
The clock/server theory has always been out the window... This never worked. People thought it was working because when it worked they pointed at it working and said "LOOK IT WORKS!" and when it didn't work they just said "Oh well, must have had too much RNG this time. I'll get it next time!" Atma drop rate has ALWAYS been pure RNG.
/facepalm
Two members of my FC got all 12 in one day. So yarp I'd say so.
