What are people doing now??

So its been a good few weeks now since 2.4 dropped, giving us the additions:

- Shiva HM / EX
- Final Coil
- Sastasha, SToQ HM and Snowcloak
- Hildibrand Quest
- New Crafts
- ROG / NIN

Wondering what people are doing?

Why? - I'm struggling to find out what to do now, Shiva ex seems to be the new Leviathan ex where the whole server has learnt it and is clearing it like hot cakes which is a good thing none the less, Hildibrand, new dungeons and story only last so long, Shiva ex wasn't as hard as i thought it would be and ive only been to phase 3 of T11 in final coil. So tell me, what else has everybody else done?

Continuing to cap poetics each week then working on gearing up ninja or gathering vanity gears for use later to glamour. Occasionally helping FC members do coils and EX trials, other raids and dungeons or fates and hunts. Spent quite a lot of time farming for ponies in Garuda EX but stopped doing that now because Ifrit one looks better so will when get some free time finish doing Titan EX then move onto Ifrit EX for farming that to get it's version of pony mount. I finished Hildibrand and look forward to continuing it when next episode of it comes out since it is the funniest and most entertaining quest line in game. I have no urgent rush to hit or complete final coil and the new dungeons I just farm for soldiery/poetics now and again. Haven't touched new crafts as crafting is not something that I care as much for though will eventually if get bored doing other things.

My FC group has sort of had hard times getting everyone online and together to do much progression content, although I hope Shiva Ex mastery will be in the future. We'll still need to clear SoB afterwards.

But I'm mostly casually leveling ROG now that the bumrush had died down and trying to make money to buy some vanity minions.

Also working on casual mounts. About 5 wins away from my TA frontline horse T_T

- Hildibrand Quest [Meh... Not even tried, I guess I'll someday have to do it, for unlock Gilgamesh]
- New Crafts [Crafting since 2.2 have going further and further on its own world...I can't afford to lose so many time just for vanity stuff, my crafters still being just 1 star and they'll be like that yet.]
- ROG / NIN [THIS...Is exactly what I have been doing since 2.4....Not regretting it. Even if my time is limited I managed to already mega-rush to Novus.... Now I want to fully enjoy it so I'm not in a haste for Nexus, I'll just continue gearing it up and going to whenever the wind calls while also using and upgrading relics of my other classes meanwhile]

T12 is kicking my behind still. Working hard on that, and once progression eases up I might start to work on crafting and gathering if I can stick through the sealant grind.

I've been focusing on leveling all of my crafting classes to 50 for now (prioritizing the Ixal Beast Tribe quests) as well as occasionally doing hunts. Just nice, casual content for now. Though I will be focusing on the new crafts once I get there.

so i'm stuck at getting my crafts to artisan level can't go to supra ;-;

Poetics, still have rogue at 11 and gardening.

I will tell you what i am doing OP. Nearly nothing, i use my time trying find some party, party who never accept me because i have 100 soldiery, i am a good tank, i have nearly down t6 and t7 (12% and 10%) but i am kicked from every party nearly, sometime i can get in, the leader is ok (because i allway tell before), but some other in the party ask for my kick because of the message who pop up "who is the 100 sol omg ?" "kick him please". So was coming for playing this nice game, and i have already unsub for a while i think. Be locked everywhere because of a message, people don't want see if you play good and don't fail, they don't even try so what i have to do those easy new dungeon ? Shiva ? This is not enough. The game is nice, the community is the worse i have see.

Did it, though it was harder for my group than others'.

Haven't been able to touch it. Second coil though! Got my T8 win and been farming T6 and T8 like cray. Working on T7 though once again, having a hard time with it. T9 is also still being learned...I'm to golems though!

- Sastasha, SToQ HM and Snowcloak
Did Snowcloak on the first night. Sastasha and Qarn HM we did in the following days and it was awesome. We didn't realize a lot of the mechanics cause we're a great group but since running it with FC mates, we noticed that they can be quite awesome and challenging in a few spots.

- Hildibrand Quest
I hadn't touched it since the second part. It's just not my thing. My friends love cause they say it's the funniest damn thing ever but such campy humor just isn't for me. However, I want the trials unlocked again so I'm just kinda steamrolling through it trying to catch up.

- New Crafts
Nope. I tried getting into crafting but when I learned that you needed to have EVERYTHING leveled and geared to be a proper crafter/make money, I kinda bowed out. I want to be able to eventually do 3 star crafts at minimum but you need Piece by piece, another lvl 50 crafter ability to do anything. Plus, all the need for the Ixali beastmen tribe sealants isn't cool either.

- ROG / NIN
The craze kept me away. The complaints of the queue also kept me away. I just recently unlocked it this past weekend and it was smooth. Wasn't anything special but it was smooth.

Oh, and I stopped doing ST. It's crazy in there. The fight for gear (that peeps don't even wear) and sands/oils is ridic.

Other than that, I've noticed that my FC has focused on collecting things like the new Shiva chandeliers and the fancy food that you can put on the tables. A bowl of fruit has been placed in front of the mender and it holds easy access to the mender hostage. I love it. I've also noticed that people in my FC have gotten the idea of private houses out of their minds and have instead bought rooms in the FC house. So they are super decorating!

It's exciting!

Well im just mainly working on my nexus and capping poetics.

Done it hundreds of times for fun and maybe a lucky mount drop. Extremely easy fight with a good soundtrack, one of the better additions in this patch. Still no pony drop.

- Final Coil

Haven't really bothered to do it. I don't have a static anymore either and progression on my server is pretty much dead as far as that goes. Oh well.

- Sastasha, SToQ HM and Snowcloak
I've only touched Snowcloak and I think I've done it like maybe 2 or 3 times. I hate dungeons and find them pretty pointless. I cap my poetics and get soldiery by spamming T4 for Allagan mats and desynthesis gears.

Haven't done it yet, love the quest series and the entertainment it brings but just haven't got around to it I guess?

- New Crafts
I'm a 4 star crafter in all but CUL. I find it totally useless (as per usual) and the mats needed for the 4 stars are pretty ridiculous so I don't see my casual server picking up on this stuff anytime soon. Speaking of 4 stars, I find the overall crafting process of the 110 gear extremely annoying and time consuming. I've been rejecting players asking me to craft for them constantly because I can't be bothered to synth 5 (4 star synths) before being able to craft the 4 star armor piece of choice. I do 4 stars for me and the overflow I list on market and let it sit there until someone is desperate and buys. I don't do work orders for people anymore.

- ROG / NIN
Best thing implemented in the patch. Finally a class that is actually fun to play and not oversimplified to the point where you feel like it is lacking something. It seems like the developers put all their time and energy into Ninja this patch while everything else was an afterthought.

As for what I'm doing now? Standing around doing little or nothing like I was a month before the patch. I guess as a hardcore player, I was bound to be cashed out pretty quickly on this patch since there was only final coil and Ninja there to keep us busy. The new dungeons offer nothing in the way of rewards, just your best soldiery/poetics ratio. Very little glamours got introduced in this patch which really bothered me. Granted, the new 110 crafted gear looks great but the sheer time and money investment involved into acquiring this gear isn't worth it at all. The general population is skipping the gear and just waiting out for poetic reset day for Ironworks armor. All-in-all I'm disappointed in 2.4 and my last hope is Heavensward. If that is another rehash of 2.0, I'm going to cash my chips in and leaving for good.

Been falling behind on ex primals so lately ive done them all til mog ex and levi. (Still got ramuh and shiva)
Cant gear up any of my classes cause they are all ilvl 109 (and no I havent put in any effort to try beating coil yet) and the new cute gear I want still cost 5mil on the market for one piece. Soo Im kinda out of things to do too.

Thats why I made a new character, cause I didnt feel my main character should be tanking.
Tried out paladin and Im now level 50 trying to get ilvl 70 to start getting gesr from st/new dungeons. And at ilvl 80 im gonna try beating Garuda ex as a tank.

Got it all planned out! :D

Just left an FC to start one up with a buddy in the coming days. So I have put leveling DPS/Healer on the back burner so I can power through to level my crafters. Oh and I run the odd Dungeon Ex roulette for poetics/alex

I've just been farming Atma, tbh. Have the atma weapons for WHM and WAR. I'm working on the books for WHM currently. When I'm not doing that I run Expert Roulette for soldiery, poetics, and the alexandrite map so I have a headstart when I get to that stage. My static will probably be trying Shiva EX in the next few weeks as well.

It's fun. I think it's the best designed primal. Farmed it a bunch. Got a bunch a stuff.

My group took the 1st couple weeks off but we started this week and should beat 10 any day now. So far so good /fingers crossed.

I do them.for roulettes. Overall like them. Qarn is my favorite. Cloak is relaxing. Satasha is kinda annoying, but will get retard easy with more gear.

- Hildibrand Quest
I did this only so I could use trial roulette again. I skip all the text and scenes. Don't understand the obsession with this guy. Never cared for his stuff at all. Got minion on my quest kill. Ecstatic I ever have to deal with it again.

- New Crafts
I can't craft anything over 2 star so don't really care.

- ROG / NIN
aweshum. I was a thief in ffxi, so it's nice to finally get back to my sneaky roots. Goin all in. Changed from war main for my coil group to nin main. Should get enough Alex to finish novus in a few days. It's exactly what i hoped for. (Except it's dex job so I can't leech str accessories for dps war :( but now my bard will be a playable 3rd job at least)

Good patch. I either like or am in different to everything in it. No complaints here.

Grinding/farming ST and leveling up combat classes mostly. Since 2.4 I've gotten Black Mage (from around 41) & Dragoon (from 30) to 50, gotten Zeniths for them and 2 or 3 other jobs, and started/completed my first Atma. I'm currently working on getting Paladin to 50 and ignoring most of the new content (still need to do a lot of the main story to even unlock it all).

I bought a house and have been decorating it. It's a really fun time sink. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something to do. I also use my house and the neighborhood for AFKing, MB, retainers, repairs, etc.. It's a much more gratifying experience. The only time I ever go to Revenant's Toll now is to use my soldiery/poetics.

Poetics, ST spam, Soldiery to gear my other characters (or future 50s)....

Farmed the crap out of Shiva ex the last few days... haven't seen the the pony drop so far. I have pretty much every weapon from it though. I'm also working on final coil and making buttloads of gil between all of this. Once it hits 9PM pst however I will vanish off the face of Eorzea for a few days...ok I lied I'll appear for raid times. Preordered the digital version of DA:I with all the goodies. I'm so freaking excited for it to come out. >___< Sitting here watching the countdown.

Just capping my Poetics weekly while I wait for a patch to add something I feel like doing. I bought and furnished a house this most recent patch, so now I've just about made back all the money spent there. I threw in the towel on 4-star crafts for now--they're just not appealing. Every other aspect of 2.4 I've finished, except Coil which I never did to begin with... so yeah, just looking forward to the continuation of the relic line, getting married in 2.45, and the next/final Crystal Tower.
