GM Controlled Imperials Showing Up?!

Read over on Eorzepedia that GM controlled imperials have recently been showing up outside of the camps where the Garlean Empire soldiers have been popping.

Anyone seen this?

Yeah, I just checked the link out to that one player's Lodestone Journal Entry with the screens, thanks to a LS friend. I'll be keeping an eye out around the R20 camps (as usual) to capture them all on tape and get plenty of up close and detailed screenshots.

On a side note, it seems I've discovered the true identity of this Legatus.

Imperial Legatus Nael Van Darnus is his name, and he has left the Eastern war front to join the fight against Eorzea on the Western front.

Here's my proof from one of the brand new Grand Company Quests which he is tied directly to.

His decoy was placed in the Dezamael Darkhold to throw off parties going in attempting to slay him and his men during the "Into The Dark" Quests.

Seems he has finally emerged from the ranks with his 2 right hand men to confront players on their days out in the realm.

Anyone wanna bet that the name of those two right hand men of his are "Biggs" and "Wedge"...

is there an achievement for seeing them much like the arcanist?

So I just ran into this character tonight. I'm wondering if what they say is scripted or they just have to speak in character because they seemed to respond to me. Check out the pic and read the chat window. I threatened to punch him and one of his lackeys pulls out his weapon lol. Pretty excited about what their building up to.

Funny thing is, I checked their equipment and it was all level 1 gear that everyone else starts out with.

All these new little things that are going unexplained make the game fun I think. It gets you excited about whats to come

I think it's pretty awesome that he responded to you directly lol

I hope I see some so I can RP with them haha

That was the case with Urianger as well.

I think I'll hang out near Horizon more...

I also have a question...are they using voiced preset chat? While doing the imperial invasion event in tranquil someond did use a voiced speech...but i wasn't able to see who was because ir passed by behind my character...

The whole time I saw Legatus and his goons I didn't hear their voices. They just went on in the chat window about how we should hand over these 2 characters from Eorzea, one of which I think was that Alchemist prophet guy that was showing up randomly recently...not for sure though. I can't remember the names.

Ya I killed one of the level 30 imperials and as he died he said something voiced like:
You may kill me, but I serve the Empire urgh

The Centurions? They've been saying:

Props to the name, Dune is the greatest movie of all time and one of the greatest book series (too many book series to say "the" greatest)

they are GMs not NPCs thats why they dont show up so oftain Urianger was like that at first too, figure they are doing that till they can script the NPC or to show more interactions to the players... or both... xD
