lol.. so i'm confused it takes them 2 hours to do this? I was kind of hoping for targetmode D myself.

EPIC PATCH.
Its also maintenance day so no...its not because of the patch...
LOLPATCH 1.18b
Yeah. I went there.
We all knew it wasn't going to be anything big, and all the event stuff is in anyway. Not surprised, glad to see them do a few changes at least so quickly.
Well I wasn't expecting much but.. Those could have been added to the 1.19 patch.
then dark matter level 1 is useless? this is kinda crazy lol unless u wear low level gear past level 10.
... waste of the effort to even have a download
Awesome! Gear dmg at under R20 was absolutely crushing my immersion and fun! Now I can die repeatedly at those difficult ranks without consequence.
This patch better be 450mb or I will be angry.
Yeah, it's only a small change, but the whole game's gotta be recompiled, plus all the servers gotta be rebooted.
Kinda makes me wonder why they decided to release another patch so soon if this is all that's in it, unless there's more happening here than we're being told about...mystereeeeeeeEEEeeeEEEe~
I wish what they would address is the stutter lag going on in uldah.. It's the only place i get a stutter lag issue.. everywhere else is 50-60 fps.. in Uldah it's 45-60 but even when it's at 50-60 there's still a major lag issue and it's Uldah only.
I thought the dura update was coming in 1.19. Good to see it being thrown in today.
We were told that 1.18 would have been splitted in more parts.
We were told that 1.18a would bring some mild changes to the game.
We weren't told of ANY content that the 1.18b would bring in.
What did you expect, Swiss Army Knives for all? Enjoy your swimsuits and shut up!
thepatchisnotrequiredtostarttheevent!!!!
anditdoesntsayitsstartingtheeventeither!!!!
i would much rather have a patch every other day or once a week then to wait months
Know what would have been better than the patch today? A producer's letter ^^
I didn't expect anything in 1.18b and I was hoping for nothing.
All I care for right now is information and scheduled plans for 1.19.
i don't get much lag in uldah only if there are a lot of people logged on but mostly its smooth as glass and i have all but two graphics settings set to the highest lvl (Ambient Occlusion unchecked and general drawing quality on standard)
Luckily it's 0:18 here, just gonna wait until patch is downloadable, get some zzz, try to get early home tomorrow, and then it's event time o/
Of course the day I'm off work, I get to stare at the forums for 2 hours instead of playing. Great timing! Why can't it be 4am Central time when I'm not on :/
Next Letter from the Producer soon? /please
i just cant wait for chocobos
Download is up. Took me 5 seconds flat to DL. Didn't even bother checking the size. I guess they fixed the issue where it downloaded all the previous patches as well?
What a joke of a "patch" and yet no Producer's Letter.
Patch is 8.17mb
This patch didn't deserve to be lettered :(.
So my question is what determines the rank that this is based on ... the rank of the character at the time of death, or the recommended rank of the equipment?
what a useless patch..I mean really...this could have waited...
Every B lettered patch prior to this was a bunch of bug fixes and MAYBE the addition of targeting mode A-Z. Getting overhyped off that track record is just plain weird, I did not expect what we did get since I figured patch notes would be "fixed a assorted collection of bugs, good day! ~SE".
I respectfully disagree.
Major functionality changes and additional content are in numbered patches. Minor functionality changes are still functionality changes (something that didn't happen now does happen) and get a lettered patch. Bug fixes are put into non-numbered, non-lettered updates.
I don't see how functionality change is a waste of a patch. Especially when that functionality change affects the frequency of repairs, and thus the amount of gil a player has to spend on upkeep of their equipment ... no matter how minor that may be.
