What the 2.5 patch notes will look like

Most of this has been hinted/comfirmed for 2.5 and pretty much common sense from playing the game and checking the history of the amount of content they been placing in each of the past patch notes.

I'd heard 2.45 for this since it was pushed back from 2.4. Has it been moved again?

Eternal bond... Yeah forgot about that. Pretty much is going to be a catch up patch gear wise and a bunch of vanity.
I got a good feeling AV & Darkhold will probably be saved towards the beginning of Heavenward/Ishguard Access.

Edit:

In terms of 2.48 or 2.58 or whatever sub patch is pretty much going to adjust old content, add in new UI/improvements to the game, adding in seasonal event data/items, ability to store these items, adding in some kinda cash shop system to the game, fixing known glitches, adding in new vanity system. Also keep forgetting each patch they will add onto Rev. toll.

There is still a TON of glitches in the game still. I dont expect them to ever get around to fixing them all.
In terms of adding new UI improvements.. theres not much left they could improve on. Ability to mount any mount while your chocobo is summoned & too much map icons on top of the aethright crystal icon on the map would be on top of the list they need to fix besides that not much left.

and all mini game?

also....Aurum Vale could also be a possible HM dungeon since it still caps at 49 >.>

I was certain 2.5 was to have it as well, perhaps it will be pushed back again
I know a few people that will not be too excited for a cutter's cry HM, lol.
New Tower should be good, so it will drop what ilv110 gear perhaps, who knows.
And 2.5 is mos likely months away, no?

hahaha IKR!! AV the only dungeon that would be way harder than it's HM version. xD Heh, unless they give us a HM version that is ALSO level capped at 49. QQ

whats really weird is what are they going to do when they release heavensward. Add 6 new dungeons & last 2 hardmodes just for 50->60?
I have good feeling alot of heavensward exp pack & heavensward content will be delayed/locked.

Cutters Cry 41->Darkhold 44-> Aurum Vale 49-> Wanders Palace 50

But yeah they could go any order they want.

Hard to say... if they release Airship building then they will have to add some kinda content to go with it. If they do I dont think all the features of the golden saucer will be there until heavensward and afterwords. Can expect Tetra Master & very limited version of chocobo racing to be there.

I didnt like the screenshots of them using the current open world zones as a race track. Was hoping for a trace track that was inside of the golden saucer. Just from that can expect them to release it sooner but be less epic... ; ;

Don't forget to add FCOB upgrade items (new sands/oils if they exist) and new Allagan Tombstone item (I know exists) appearing in loot tables of Shadow World Crystal Tower bosses.

They already said it would be Triple Triad not Tetra Master btw

What I was expecting from the original post:

-Cynical take on patch note trends.
-Sarcastic use of "Please Look Forward To It"

What I got:

-An actual, legitimate thread that more or less legitimately speculates about the content of the next big patch and details things the devs have actually SAID were going to be in 2.5

+1, OP. Bravo!

While we are supposed to get Urth's Gift as a trial coming up, I don't think that's the only 'primal' fight we'll be getting. I'd be willing to bet we'll see an Omega Weapon trial (Possibly with an EX/Minstrel's Ballad version) in 2.5 as well, given it's been being brought up in the story for a while and it'd be a fairly fitting end to the 2.x storyline.

(My ideal would actually have it at the end of a Praetorium HM but who knows if that'll happen)

Also sure they said the 2.5 patch was going to come in two parts so it should be bit larger than normal.

Didn't they already say the Hildebrand fights weren't going to be true EX? Just more difficult but not quite that level, because they still want the content to be accessible. Maybe they'll have their own moniker.
