Plans of Summoning true Primals was canceled?

Im wondering if Square Enix' plans to summon the true primals in PVP (and FC vs FC pvp) with your FC was cancelled?

I havent heard of this for a very long time. Yoshi P. said that he planned to introduce summoning to Free Companies in PVP. Once the primes are summoned the whole weather would change and everyone could see that a primal was summoned.

And that primals can only be hold by one FC per server.


Thats what yoshi p. thought about. Have these plans been canceled? And FC vs FC PVP?

what do you think? or are these just things that have been canceled?

We dont know what happend to those features, remember Yoshi-P also showed alot of armour designs, but from what we have seen in the new teaser, those will be released in Heavensward. I reckon there will be a storyline in 2.5 or next expansion where the players will befriend or control the primals, this will introduce the feature to summon them in the open-world.

Afcourse its very possible that this feature has been removed.

That artwork is one of the starting bases for Frontlines.

Yoshi-p said since this feature is connected to the main storyline, he has to wait for the story to progress to a point where it makes sense for the player to be able to summon the primals.

I think the ability ice heart displayed where she was able to use her own body as a vessel for a primal is probably leading up to this feature. I'm thinking it's an echo power that our characters will eventually learn to use.

Well if anyone was watching the shiva campaign quest cutscenes you might see where this is going. :)

not really. first of all there are catapults and stuff like that. They originally wanted to introduce a pvp zone where you can conquer a keep if im not wrong.. a zone where FC's or GC's compete against eacher other . and i think this is what that artwork shows.

as you can see, that castle is being attacked from two sides.

thats definatley not that "teleporter keep" which you can find in frontlines.. especially that region is green.. which carteneau isnt at all. cartenau is a fictive region in mor dhona

maybe it was a concept art for FC PVP

You do realize the idea of FCs possessing Primals is not going to work in this game, at least in its revealed concept? If only one FC can have a specific Primal until it's used, it's going to be infinitely worse than how the Hunts were. Such a system would also heavily favor massive FCs compared to the smaller, more raiding oriented FCs.

ehm and you do realize that this isn't my own idea? that was an idea of Yoshi P. and i was just wondering about what happened to that idea... and about that pvp concept art, too.

this may be a reason why... it "maybe" got canceled. but well maybe we also going to see it. there are more pvp maps most likely to come.

Yeah, before 2.4, I was convinced that there was absolutely no way for this feature to be explainable lore-wise. But now? With the events of 2.4? I am willing to accept that as a valid reason.

The core reason why I am fervently against half the suggestions on this forum that I am opposed to is usually due to lore explanation (or, in this case, a lack thereof). But this seems like a valid enough way for such a feature to actually happen.

He's said he still wants to do it, but there's all sorts of implementation, lore, etc. things holding it up.

So 'please look forward to it'.

lol i can imagine most of the primals being ticked off how you fought them to stop them, only to come back and use them for your own ends.

I think that they might have fused this thing with the personal limit breaks and it will work like the summoning ritual of iceheart for shiva

It'd be cool if you could transform into the primal for a while
