Ironworks Gear: No FC Logo / Crest Allowed :(

After buying the new Ironworks Robe, I discovered that it will not allow me to put my FC logo on it.

"You have no crest-worthy gear"

Is this intended or a bug?

It already has the logo of the Garland Ironworks on it..

If they are going by what they did with the Soldiery gear, then you can't use a FC crest on the basic gear; you have to upgrade it with an item before you can customize it.

The crest is so ugly, which is sad since the gear otherwise looks pretty cool.

Your title stated your answer. Ironworks gear gets an Ironworks stamp of approval.

After all the work we've done for Cid, for free, he can't even give us free ironworks gear so we can do more free work for him.

Cid clearly loves his logo and spent more time polishing it than he did with the rest of the pixels, just look how nice and sharp it is.

Jk idk maybe the upgraded version will allow it.

I seem to recall this exact same complaint being levied at the soldiery gear back when it was added.

Changing the logo will most likely be reserved only for those with an 8-man static on tap capable of clearing later Final Coil Turns and obtaining Carbontwine.

This really bugs the absolute crap out of me, I don't even have to zoom in fully to see pixels the size of my eyes, I really wonder what the visual team are thinking releasing gear with horrid over-sized pixels and PS2-style textures... oh wait, the PS3...

There any antialiasing being run on that PC? I don't get jaggies that bad on armor models in game. In any case yah you'll need to upgrade most likely to apply crests.

We're all hoping the fabled DX11 (or is it DX10? I forget what version the game is running) upgrade will help with this. Usually when I zoom in on a lot of gear you can see it becomes a bit more pixelated, and I've got my settings on the highest they can go.

Some gear looks ok up close but others the aliasing/jaggies stick out like very sore thumb

The orange square logo is so ugly on BRD/Nin body.

Without that, ironwork sets are really nice looking but the orange square destroy everything.

Even on the upgraded 130 irowork sets, this the same: ugly orange square ><

Its sad to glamour a nice looking set because of an horrible pixelised logo.

A set destroyed, ruined by a really small and barely noticeable small square.

Cid didn't make them, and they sell them because Cid is too busy with the crystal tower to take care of the company business and they lack a lot of money.

PLEASE MOVE THE IRONWORKS CREST , it looks HORRIBLE on brd chest ...is big orange and on the black shoulder

WHY? i wonder wth the designer was thinking ...lets put that big orange square on that black shoulder sure ppl will enjoy it...........

yea, horrible is the word indeed ^^
I glamoured mine a few hour ago. Sadly i doubt they will change it. They didnt remove the condom tail on caster body so we shouldnt have any hope for this big orange square.
Ugly BRD/NIN chest will remain ugly.
