And us healers deserve it after having been dealt that previously ugly pope robe.

Yeah, i can’t wait to get my hands on the Tanking and Healing gear from the Ironworks. They both look awesome. (^_^ )-b
I need my tank for Coil, so i’ll focus on getting the Tanking set first, and the Healing set after that. So, it’s going to take me a few months to get one of those fabulous Ironworks Robes myself. hehe.
Congrats on getting your robe! \(^_^ )/ My Poetics for this week are still sitting at 0/450. (^_^; ) I still have 4 more hours to go before i can log in. /cry (T_T )
Yep, it's a pretty good looking robe.
How exactly have you gotten the robe? At time of this post 2.4 has not yet been out a week so the weekly lockout has yet to reset. So maximum poetics you should have is 450...
Tome reset was 7 hours ago.
tomes reset this morning so could have 900 by now
Hmm, I thought it didn't reset until 9 or 10 AM CST, or did they change reset timers to match America now?
Omg thats the 1st thing i was aiming for when i saw the new design. But..... IM SO PISSED NOW! the dam rob is for mofo WHM. It has. NO. CRIT. WHAT. SO. EVER! It is USELESS for SCH. WHM get the sexy ass HA robe as BiS now they get the sexiest healer robe im the game! SE! Why wont you let SCHs be sexy!?
/cry
nice! Got bard belt last week, has to be bard gloves this week. Awesome awesome crit/det combo on each.
It looks a lot better in your pictures than it does in the preview window. ;)
Pie/det > crit even for sch anyways.
I much prefer daystar, personally :<
I thought crit was best for scholars. I still have the i90 healer Accs on my scholar cause I couldn't bear losing all this crits with the daystar accs. I was planning on upgrading the chest and legs last with the ironwork gear since I would lose a bunch of crit. ( I don't do coil so I will have to deal with not getting all the BiS. Plus it is WHM's turn to get the chest geared for them.)
Yeah, I know right, I might not even have to glamour this set for ONCE. awesome looks btw OP
MND is still your best stat and minus a few exceptions the secondaries not being optimal still don't usually outweigh the mind increase. In this case I'd still upgrade to the robe from daystar eventually. It just isn't the first thing I am prioritizing with my tomes... I got that sexy poetics wrist for my SCH first :)
I'd feel bad for Scholars, but WHMs had to deal with an overabundance of crit and severe lacking in piety/determination on a lot of the Daystar pieces so...our turn.
Im saying all the sexy shit is for whm... Have you seen the Daystar robe!? I look like a... I don't even know wtf i look like in that thing. A can opener? I just wanna be a sexy and effective healer that make my tanks go "mmm you so fine you make me wanna use my CDs"
Yeah, the healer torso is really great looking, probably my favorite of the new gear. It makes me jealous I don't play a healer. :)
Anyone seen pics of the MNK gear yet?
Thanks for the pics Kyah.
Totally agree: The new Ironworks (Poetics) gear looks SO good! :) Much better than the Soldery gear and the Final Coil Gear.
I love the clean, stylish look to them (understated, but classy). Black and White Colors are also nice.
Can't wait to get all my pieces.
Good job SE! :)
woah looks cool :D
450 cap in just a few hours is darn good, granted I barely played last week minus leveling ninja
What would someone recommend for capping poetics near that fast? I mean most efficient run this and this kind of thing. My play time is limited these days so I get to see maybe 2-3 hours twice a week, I lucked out last week and had it free.
You think that's bad? Look at the BLM set. Out of the entire set only 2 pieces have any crit -_-. I worked hard to stack my 600 crit, while still maintaining accuracy cap, so I don't think i'll even bother upgrading. The increased base damage doesn't really weigh as much as critting 1/3 hits. And don't even get me started on how absolutely useless spell speed is.
We should all give cid a big hug!
lrighty, i've managed to collect enough Tomestones of Poetics to get me the Ironworks Armor of Fending. This is what my Paladin looks like right now:

Agreed! The Poetics gear looks awesome :D

Looks very nice! I love how people will refuse to upgrade because they have an irrational bias toward a particular secondary stat that's not actually doing much for them.
What makes you think that a secondary stat such as crit isn't doing much? If the choice is getting an extra 4 int but losing 40 crit, the extra 10 or so base damage the int would give isn't worth losing the crit chance. Wearing the whole set you would have a grand total of 78 bonus crit. The gear I'm wearing now grants over 200. I'm not sure how much crit rate you get per point in int or if main stats even add to secondary stats. I cant find any info anywhere on it, but i know since i'm sitting at 600 it isn't all just coming from the crit i stacked on my gear. Also by my math i have close to a 24% chance to crit. It just seems more likely i would be losing out if i was down to 10% or so even with all the boost to int. I mean if i get lucky I can do 4k damage in one second with a fire 1+firestarter critting back to back which happens quite often for me.
You lose only 29 crit while gaining 6 mind and 6 vitality. In addition, you're gaining 22 determination, as the Daystar had none.
Anyways, got the Ironworks robe last night. Love it. Actually, the Warwolf boots go with it just perfectly. They might even look better than the Ironworks boots.

and here we have the BiS crackhead. Watch closely as he blindly follows a false hope he actually believes in, milking every best secondary stat which will transcend him to a level of competence that makes even Koreans fall to their knees in worship.
BiS is a pointless practice executed by the overly obsessed to make them feel more complete. Buy your Ironwork cloak as a SCH and enjoy it.
