Patcher is up!

Anyone else getting super slow KB/s even with all ports open? lol i'm getting anywhere from 5-50kb/s. Which like never happens.. usually it's 100-300k on new patches. This is with the Official Downloader.

On that note, I also saw the post from the NOC, and had another quick look at the bug fixes...

Much to my surprise I found this:

- While gladiator’s ability “Cover” is in use, the character may perform Taunt or Light Stab to other players.

lmfao we were able to STAB other players!! AND I MISSED IT! XD

Use 3rd party to download it faster. SE refuses to fix the issue even after 11 months (almost), they can't honestly expect us to continue using their terrible patcher...

nvm i got it to go faster... i just restarted it.. i started it when the patch went live and it was super slow. But now it's 100k-500kb/s

I had a solid 1.7 MB/s during the patch, took a couple minutes to finish, idk what the difference would have been.

To Cidolphus:
I remember to open ports, you have to type 192.168.1.1 in your address bar to access your router, and then go to Applications & Gaming, then click the sub-tab that says 'Port Range Forwarding' and then do this:
Start ~ End Port should have 55296 to 55551 (that's what I have at least), select UDP from the Protocol selection, and then make sure 100 is in the space in the IP address part. Then have 'enabled' checked on that line and save your changes. This is what mine looks like and the patcher works fine for me.

It jumed from 20-100 for a bit, and wasn't a totally accurate depiction of the time it took, overall it tooks 20 or minutes to get. I'm assuming the abnormal speed was due to large jumps in download then declines.

I'm still thinking that! 20 MB/s would still be godly. I'm kinda wondering why the download took 20 minutes though. Mine was only at 1.7 MB/s and it took about a minute and a half.

ffs im getting 100+ kb upload speed but 0-20kb download speed.. i usually have like 600-800 kb dl speed

Dunno! Mine also took about 20-25 mins, and my speed was consistently between 50-175 KB/s (over 125 most of the time)

I'm sitting at a very comfortable 100 KB/s, and I'm downloading the patch over 3G, haha. Just moved to my first apartment on Saturday, so I'm tethered through my phone until my cable installation on Wednesday. :cool:

Also, maybe they're learning? The patch is only 145 MB, and not a combination of 1.18 and 1.18a, as has been done with previous lettered patches. Go SE!

Actually, quitting the program and restarting does work. I quickly get a few more percent, then it dies again, so i can restart and get a few more until it's done. :D
