Banking System??

Sorry if theres any posts on this already created, but I was wondering if Yoshi or anyone has spoken on implimenting an account, not a character in game banking system.

Kind of like being able to store gil and items/weapons in a bank, that you could pick up with another character under the same account? Instead of having to find and trust someone to hold your gil or weapons for you while you switch characters and such.

I think it would be good since most people have atleast two different characters that they play on, and transferring gil is an annoying issue unless you have good friends ;)

I think a simple mail system would be nice. and a mog house to store items.

Yes, it doesn't matter what it is specifically to me, just a way to trade with yourself between different characters you own under your account. But again have they spoken on implimenting this? Or have they even acknowledged it?

Mail system would be awesome for sending to other people obviously, but for inter account transfer, IF we ever get Mog Houses, a small limit chest ( say 10 inv ), that goes across all characters on the account would rock.

The most recent word on this is... Current server design prevents this, however they are in the process of correcting it (meaning that they have likely started the server-side changes in 1.18) and will eventually get around to it. Some day. Maybe. If we're lucky.

They said a mail system will be in the works in the future. Thats what I really want. both for my own characters and for giving stuff to others without having to be in the same spot.

So basically what your saying is that they know players want a sort of self trade system like this however, the way the servers are made/setup they can't impliment this yet but might be able to after they change up the servers, which started around the last patch?? o.o

Pretty much. I'm sure they've been working the server changes gradually, as way back in December they appointed someone (Can't remember name off the top of my head) specifically to deal with the server issues. However we are not starting to see the benefits of that work until now, in the battle system. As they make other changes to "important" things like battle system that require more server changes, I think we'll eventually reach a critical point where they'll be able to knock out things like /l1 /l2 talk, remote LS controls, mailbox, etc., in quick order because the majority of the back end will already be fixed.

oh great that's all we need, an evil world bank enforcing "austerity" measures on all our toons..

I'm looking forward to a mail system, but a bank system would be a nice addition as well.

I'm also in favor of an LS bank, that would be nice as well. :)

I mean again, either a bank or mailing system or both would be great. If they created their own economy for this game with taxes and everything, it would be common sense to add a bank right?

Also it would be nice to hear from a dev? Maybe I should have tagged one -.-
