Would anyone love to see Dancer in ff14 realm reborn? ;)

Hi guys just another fun question, well exactly as the title asks, Would anyone like to see dancer in realm reborn and if so what do you think the dancer job class should be like? I think in today's age with the popularity of hip hop dancing being so high in all countries a capoeira dancing job class would be really fun for realm reborn my personal opinion. For anyone who doesn't know what capoeira is it is a Brazilian martial art which basically incorporates fighting while dancing at the same time. Also dancer must dual wield and I mean real dual wield meaning equipping 2 different weapons at the same time, not sure why this wasn't implemented with nin.... Maybe due to balancing.

We'll anyway tell me what you think in post below. Also fun opinionated question no bashing please.

You know, I was just thinking about that last night. I don't know that it needs to be capoeira based, but dancer was a pretty cool class, and it would finally give an in-game reason for the coliseum caster set.

What's the difference whether it takes up one slot or two? At least this way you don't have to farm two relics.

I have been saying I would love to see Dancer in this game since 1.0, so yes... would love to see this! Especially now that we have a dual weild class because I loved DNC/NIN!

There's also basically no point in dual wielding in this game because none of the weapons have special effects or traits like in XI. It'd literally just be dividing the stats per weapon in half and then forcing a player to collect two of them.

Farming 2 relics would fun and nice but also make dps really high= unbalancing causing tanks to lose hate, healer would focus more on Dancer overall turning ff14 into ff11

Uh, or the ninja relics would just have lower stats in comparison to those that just get one weapon.

That would make a lot more sense.

I'd love to see dancer especially as a healer/support role. Maybe have a stance style like pugilist but each dance does a buff for the party/ hels the party or target. Give it some CC style effects on some dances to emulate the target bring distracted.

Dancer would be fun. You could arguably fit it into any of the three roles and still it would work. Tank is probably the toughest to justify, but there are probably some ways of making that work. Healer is what I'd like though. A melee DoW healer would be interesting to see in action, even if it'd be difficult to make work.

I think there are many other jobs that should get priority over dancer. If it is introduced I hope they keep it away from healing and make it a tank or dps (hoepfully dps so the limited amount of people who want it are not even more limited because of it not being the moat popular role). Also I don't think capoeira should be the style it is based upon.

With the introduction of Stand Alone Jobs in 3.0 I think Dancer is a good ideal but as a Stand Alone Job.

Being a Stand Alone Job will allow Dancer to be developed into a Dancer Job better since it gives the Job room to have its own unique Dancer themed skills.

My dream job for FFXIV. Bring dancer out or riot!

We can already dance. Just type /dance. :P

if they publish the twitch stream and videos shown at the london fanfest there was a small blurb in there where yoshi and the cast were talking on the panel about upcoming jobs such as dark knight being the new tank and they said something about upcoming healer class then they changed over to a clip showing a battle and in the middle of the battle they did a close up and the lalafell was standing in the middle of the group dancing then they cut the clip and changed topics!!! look forward to it!! dancer healer coming 3.0!! watch the london fanfest twitch stream if they post them anywhere!!

The AF would be something like Brazilliany.... look it up yourself.. its a bit risque combined with capoeira it would be a blur of colors and jingles.

Dancer would be another DPS role, more people would be complaining about queue times if they bring it out so close to rogue :p.

I will be happy with whatever they bring out, DRK will definitely be my number one tank Job though.

Hmm....dancer as a healer, with their main system being a progressive step system that would allow it to heal the group. I guess the closest comparison would be PGL stances (Opo-opo, Coeurl, Raptor), but you have an ability that consumes the stance you're in and has a specific effect depending on the stance you're in.

As an example, DNC could rotate between three steps (Quick Step => Box Step => Feather Step), and have an ability called Flourish that consumes the step you're currently in. Using Flourish while in Box Step would result in maybe an AoE HoT, while using Flourish while in Quick Step results in an AoE heal. I'll see if I can try to develop the idea a little more sometime.

To my knowledge, capeira was developed by the natives as a way of training themselves in combat while fooling the portugese soldiers into thinking they were just doing native dances. The concept is very tempting if only because it would be something I haven't really seen in an SE game. Hell, even Capcom made their own capoeira character.

I would really love to see a Dancer in game, but I would like them as a support role. Dances that increase skill speed, spell speed, hast & slow, inflict status effects, boosted physical/magical defence, mild party heals while being able to put out a low amount of DPS them selves.

Nope, no interest whatsoever in a dancer class/job. Perfectly happy to just have more dance emotes added to the game and see no reason why should make a class/job from it.

Dancer is one of the two jobs I want to see in ARR the most, the other being Beastmaster, so I would like to see it brought in. It seems to fit the Healer role pretty well. It also potentially opens up a different healing style than is currently available in the game.

This is the job that I wish for the most...

In all honesty I'm a bit sad that the Rogue's guild constantly talk about dancing....because Rogue is not Dancer to me >.<
I'd love either a DOW Healer or Physical equivalent to the BLM...aka lots of AOE attacks (Dances!)
I like winxblooms suggestion that it should use Ring Blades or Fans :) But I don't think it should be strictly dual wields...single fan would be nice :)

Holy crap, it's been so long that I forgot how well done the 1.0 cutscenes were. I really hope that with the time they've had to work on it, the story and presentation in Heavensward will be just as good if not better than it was in 1.0.

As for Dancer, I would love to see that class added as a melee DD-support, similar to Bard. A pure support would also be a welcome addition, but I think Dancer would be much more popular if it was seen on the front lines.
