Help with GSM desynthesis!

I'm leveling my goldsmith desynthesis for break some artisan glasses, but now im stucked at 72.3 and dont know which items use for keep leveling, can someone tell me what did you use?

because of how much FC II sells on my server, I'm currently 78 and still desynthing aetheryte rings. otherwise, run the dungeons that drop the i70 gear, or make/buy them and put materia on them

Make Rimless Glasses and desynth them

this is what i did... and there cheaper to make now since emery drops in dungeons. but I was able to get to 100 in about 200 desynths, maybe less I forget it was ages ago now

Farm dl gear from dungeons, brayflox is good for that quick and easy. Or the myth accessories, or ultima hm or ifrit Garuda and Titan c accessories. Free gear is always good to desynth.

I used the Aetheryte ring method until I couldn't squeeze anything more out of it. It's basically free and any FC2 you get are pure profit. If your GSM and MIN are leveled, then you should have no problem gathering your own ore/clusters and making your own nuggets.

Once I was capped for rings, I moved to Gold Specs, which where a bit expensive at the time (though less so than Carbuncle Clocks), also make sure to meld them (triple or quad meld if you can) with crappy tier 1 materia to improve the success rate. I rode that train straight to 100.

If you do decide to desynth darklight accessories, Brayflox (Hard) and Halatali (Hard) are both excellent sources. In both dungeons, parties usually skip the chests that have accessories in them. Wait for the run to be over and everyone else has exited the instance, then run back and claim the chests. (The monsters around the chests will probably kill you, but no biggie as long as you manage to open the chests first.) Lost City of Amdipor is a bad choice, as the accessory chests are right along the path, so parties usually open them as they pass them.

I needed a boat load of FC3's anyways so I levelled my GSM up by crafting masses and masses of Atheryte rings to get FC2's and then bought a few not that costy items to craft lots of thick-rimmed glasses with the FC2's and bought items. Together with a few Carbuncle Chronometers and dungeon drops, it did not take too long to get over 90%.

gold spectacles is what i used. throw some melds on it and eat bacon breath to better your %. carbuncle chrom is good too, but iirc, requires the seal mats which are pricey. need 9 x 9 so 81k plus other mats. gold specs you just need a emery or raziqsand probably which is cheap as hell on my server

What demi mats do you get from Carbuncle clocks? Rimmed Glasses?

I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet, but it was about GSM desynth ~70 where I started doing a lot of Frontlines to get PvP accessories to desynth. Between 1-3 games and you'll get a piece without pesky RNG playing a roll on claiming darklight drops. Good Myth/Sold (Sold/Poet now I suppose) for the effort, too. This was before Rimless Glasses came out, however, so if Garlean drops are cheap on your server (are they on anyone's??) I'd go that route.
