Brilliant/Blinding seems low for these new 2.4 dungeons. They take a lot longer and are more difficult than just spamming whatever the bonus HM primal fight is until you're blue in the face. Doesn't seem balanced to me.

The Nexus content is barely a month old. It took 6+ months for Atma to get boosted, so good luck waiting for Nexus to get the same treatment.
Also, the reason why you get higher amounts of light for dungeons/ST is because they take more time whereas primals take less time, thus you get less light. Dungeon spam is not "difficult", it just takes more time.
Yes, exactly. More time for the new dungeons, less reward than spamming primals (since you can easily do a primal 4 times while you're doing one of the new dungeons). It's not that lights should be across the board boosted, just a little better balanced. And maybe balanced a little more in favor of new/more difficult content than facerolling stuff that's been out for over a year now (Garuda HM).
Bumped up how? Dungeons already give bright and brillaint lights. Another bump up would push it into blinding and newborn star territory (making ST grinds for lights pointless), making nexus acquirement very fast in the long run and square will not have that.
Another way to balance it would be to make primal fights harder, so it need more time.
Took me 3 weeks of garuda/mog/ifrit spam to do my weapon.
I think they should boost nexus to i120 to be on par with non upgraded poetic weapons. Otherwise the next ilevel jump would have to be 15. Nexus' upgrade would be trash if it only went up to 125 and was weaker than the upgraded poetics.
Light grinding is just about right. I'm 40 light away from my second Nexus this morning. Not everything needs to be easy.
*blink* You want to correct the imbalance by making the overall process take longer?
Nexus lights are fine. If you want to go crazy and live on Garuda's mountain, you can; you also get reasonable credit for doing things you would be doing anyway.
My only gripe is that the Dragon's Neck Trial gives feeble light as its base reward, which is not consistent with similar trials.
And? ST grinds for light are already pointless. It's much, much faster to grind HM primals. It's much easier to identify which primal is on bonus than it is to figure out which dungeon or whether ST is on bonus.
Even if the new dungeons were blinding/newborn star, they currently take long enough that it will STILL be faster to grind HM primals, but it would at least be closer. This isn't about making the grind shorter overall, it's about having more options. It seems like the new content is a good place to put that.
You know as well as I do that Square would never give easier content that much light. Relics have and always will be a massive grind sink.
I'm sad 2nd coil lights were nerfed, that's where I was planning on doing a lot of my light farming, while helping FC members get gear/clear turns. :\ I mean in theory it makes sense, full statics and the occasional good pug group can farm turns pretty easily I guess, but they are still a bit time consuming and a lot more stressful than grinding something like Garuda HM. It is VERY easy to wipe on 2nd coil. And when you're bringing in new or old returning players (AKA new), chances are you're not farming anyway.
Actually does anyone know if you also get bonus lights if there's someone in the group who hasn't cleared before? And does it seem like roulettes give bonus lights?
You don't seem to understand, as it is right now primals fights take less time to be completed and are more rewarding than dungeons, to the point that no one runs dungeons for light, only primals, boosting the light bonus of dungeons would only make it on par with trials.
